    Default Hyrule: treacherous scumbags?

Hello everyone, so I've been playing as Ordona and at around turn 30 my longest and closest ally, Hyrule attacks me! Has this happened to anybody else? Why is Hyrule so quick to abandon this alliance? Should it be fixed for the next release so Hyrule doesnt get so greedy that they turn on their allies? Thanks!

What was your reputation and what difficulty were you playing on? Hyrule is above all else the expansion faction. They'd expand into the ocean and drown if they were allowed to. I've never had a long period alliance with Hyrule beacuase they backstab me so much (even with reliable+ reputation on me). Scratch that they backstab everyone . Reason why I hate Ordona's auto alliance with them is you have trouble making allies with other factions (because Hyrule is out to you know, make hell for everyone) unless you want to take the reputation hit for not siding with Hyrule. This is just my experience however.

Yep, I had the same thing. After a massive battle where I crushed - crushed - their main battle group besieging Mesu Ordona, I executed the survivors. Then the Gorons declared war on me and besieged Horon!

Well I'd rather take the hit and have them break the alliance, they can only do it so many times before they get below mixed. And you think they get teamed like crazy on mixed and above? Ahhh the 8 last turns of dubious Hyrule ...

The title of this thread sounds like a news report.

"Coming up on the Moblin News Network, 'Hyrule: Treacherous Scumbags?', more at eleven."

I think the only time the Moblins ever betrayed me was during my Ordona campaign...and I wasn't stupid enough to go further than trade rights so I didn't take the reputation hit .

I'm playing H/H and I have 'very good' relations with Hyrule and a 'very reliable' reputation. It is probably just some factions love to betray their allies. It happened to me in two different campaigns as Hyrule. Both times the Gorons attacks me.

Not sure if it's editted in the mod or not yet (seems at least though) that Hyrule is hated by everyone anyway. Aside from the fact that Hyrule's AI sucks , They really don't know peace. When they are ready to expand again later, they'll charge at them straight on (with trebuchets...sorry couldn't help it xD). Even if you don't count any of that, they probably have the worst starting position in the game (faction position, not amount of rebel settlements nearby) next to the Gerudo. It's classic M2TW AI, you're big, so people like you less, it's really as simple as that. I'm not hating on them believe me, I like them, and once their mounted knights are put in (don't even need triforce vanguards unless your getting your ass kicked and which at the point the sheikah would step in anyway) I;m totally all for them. H/H is probably playing a big effect though. I've played from easy to hard on here and there is a very noticeable change between M/M and H/H and an even bigger one between E/E and M/M (activity, such as war declerations, alliances, etc). So, on the higher difficulties, being them can be a pain because within just a few turns you can be thrown into a war or two already. Oh yeah and sorry for the wall of text .

(ignore any talk about their AI in a situation where a human is being them.)

I find Hyrule a pain in my ass. I played as the shiekah, turn 2 I went into death stance to take Kakariko, built some stuff, ended my turn, and they hyrule attacked me!
Also, when I played as the Lizalfos, I attacked Ordona as a preemptive strike and Hyrule got really pissed off and sent a bunch of their amazing units to attack me.

Then things are working as intended. In LoZ, the Sheikah are subservient to the Kingdom of Hyrule and you play that angle in the campaign as them. Switching into death stance surmounts to a rebellion. They would be stupid to let you take Kakariko without a fight.

As for them defending Ordona, that also makes a great deal of sense. They are a valued trade partner...

Were you playing as the Sheikah and if so, did you switch to death stance?
