crash during battle load up

hello

as the title suggests, i get a crash during the battle loading screen, i always get the crash, and it says it has encountered a error and needs to quit

any help to why this is happening would be nice

My first guess would be the issue with clock settings (odd but true).
If your computer clock autoadjust to summer/winter time (also known as Daylight Savings) TATW tend to CTD when entering battlefield.

Go into your clocks settings and turn that off (should be a box to uncheck in the time zone tab) and then test to start the game again and enter a battle (custom battle do fine). Hopefully that solve it

You can do this too and test does it work for you:
1. Go here and apply step 3 from section How to fix it ( apply it for your main M2TW folder ( C:\Program Files (x86)\SEGA\Medieval II Total War ), if you have steam version apply it too ( Steam/Steamapps/Common/Medieval II Total War ) )

2. Unhide hidden folders:
On your DESKTOP, click on START in the bottom left corner, in Search Programs and Files type in Folder Options, click on Folder Options, go to VIEW section, and in Hidden files and folders check the box next to SHOW hidden files, folders or drives. Apply, and OK.

Then, go to Virtual store ( C:\ Users\ [user name or your PC`s name]\ AppData\ Local\ VirtualStore\ Program Files (x86)\ Medieval 2 Total War\ mods folder), and delete Third_Age_3 folder if you find it there.



3. Open your TATW .CFG file found in ..\ mods\ Third_Age_3\ folder, and do this:

[misc]
show_hud_date = true
;bypass_sprite_script = 1
;rebuild_geography_db = true

change to this:

[misc]
show_hud_date = true
;bypass_sprite_script = 1
rebuild_geography_db = true

Just remove that ; sign in front of rebuild_geography_db = true text. Save and exit. Open TATW and test does it work.

Hi guys, i just love TATW. I think it's the greatest mod ever. But, like many others i ve seen here. In the campaign mode when i enter a siege battle, i get a ctd at the middle of loading. Something like this "MTW Kingdoms found and error and needs to quit" I have no problems in custom battles, only in the campaign mode.

I ve tried everything i ve seen on this forums but it still doesn't work. Please help me, really love this mode, but i cant play like this. My OS is Vista
