A meeting with the Lord Commander, Aenar Kingsman
Aemond would travel quietly and stealthily to the home of Aenar Kingsman, Lord of Stokeworth and Rosby as well as Lord Commander of the Goldcloaks and the City Watch. He glanced around a few times before knocking on the door of the Lord Commander's home.

The two goldcloaks guarding the door take note of the man, and request he removes any weapons he may conceal before he enters.

Aemond removed his weapon, handing it off to the guards before entering to see Aenar. He removes the hood of his cloak and looks around.
Lord Commander Aenar?

Re: A meeting with the Lord Commander, Aenar Kingsman
Aenar is sitting down, scribbling away at some paperwork. He turns to the newcomer, and says;
And who do I have the pleasure of meeting; good sir? Take a seat.

I am Aemond Targaryen. You accepted my request for an audience, Lord Commander.
Aemond takes a seat near Aenar and looks at him.

He paused, then nodded.
That I did, My Lord. To what do I owe the pleasure?

Though my uncle, Lord Stannis Lannister, does not share in my superstitions upon the Red Comet, I wish to ask what you view it as. What your thoughts are.

I do not know... War? Chaos? Dynastic feuds? It must symbolise something... Targaryen.

That is what I feel. The comet's descent represents the fall of something...or someone. While the bright tail reveals a coming age. Or perhaps, it represents the downfall of something or someone. Many will bring forth their theories.
Aemond goes quiet for awhile before looking at Aenar once more.
Do you know of my lineage, Lord Commander? How I am a Targaryen?

He nodded.
You were the son of king Aegon, no?

Re: A meeting with the Lord Commander, Aenar Kingsman
That is indeed correct. Only known by a selected few and taken from my mother's arms when my father was assassinated.
Aemond goes silent for a moment before reaching into his pockets and pulling out a few bags. They sounded full of Dragons.
I will need the support of the Goldcloaks when the time comes, Aenar Kingsman. And that time might be coming sooner than I had expected. Here is 50,000 Dragons to start you with...and 50,000 more will come when you have fulfilled your contract with me.

His eyes narrowed, and he leaned forward.
My days of being a mercenary are done.

Re: A meeting with the Lord Commander, Aenar Kingsman
I am not hiring you as a mercenary, Lord Commander. I am merely asking for cooperation. These are rewards as a thanks for said cooperation. You are a Lord Commander, a noble man of the Crownlands and King's Landing. I may be young, but my mentor, the former Grand Maester, Viserys Targaryen, taught me manners and etiquette. And I know that I must be generous to those who help me and thankful to those who cooperate.

He smirks, and laughs harshly.
Etiquette? You seek to sway me to your cause like a common soldier. King Aegon gave me everything I own, I shall not turn my back on him for a sack of gold coins.

Re: A meeting with the Lord Commander, Aenar Kingsman
But think about the future, Aenar. The King is unwell, the sign of a red comet falling from the sky, his son is but an infant...if his son is placed upon the throne, who will be the regent and how will they treat you? What if Viserys is made King? Will he treat you the same way His Grace has?
Aemond remains calm, remembering the vision he had in the courtyard.

His eyes were glazed.
I shall serve Vaelys as well as I have served his Father.

Then I shall take my leave.
Aemond quietly leaves now. His mind making a mental note about the Lord Commander.
