I have an problem every time i try to battle in game the game crashes. error says that ''medieval 2 total war encountered an unspecified error and will now exit''
What i need to do?

Q: Help! I tried to play a battle and it crashed! What can I do?
A:

• Generally battle crashes are caused by a time stamp error in the descr_geography files. Deleting these two files in the TATW data folder should fix the problem: descr_georgraphy_new database file and descr_georgraphy_new text document. Another method is to disable daylight savings time on your computer. A third option can be found here.
• There is also a bug known to cause battle crashes when reinforcements are present. The fix for this can be found here. (Download link here)
• Battle crashes can also be caused by heat. Keep your system clean and free of dust to help prevent system overheating.
• Updating M2TW Kingdoms to 1.5 can also make the game more stable resolving some crashes. See here for M2TW patches. Make sure you get the right one as they vary based on region and Gold vs. Non-Gold.
• See this thread for other basic fixes that can fix crashes.
• Sometimes there is a rare, random bug and simply reloading and replaying will result in a successful play.

1. When does your crash happen, when loading battle, or during some time in battle?

2. Does this happen with all battles, or just some specific one\ or specific ones?

3. Are there any reinforcements on either side of the battle which crashes?

2. What are your system specs( what Windows do you have, what Processor, Graphics card, amount of RAM )?
3. Is your M2TW steam, or DVD retail version?

Your graphics are not too good for this game. Maybe getting better graphics card would help, Nvidia or ATI. Can you play M2TW without these kind of crashes?

Yes, i played also newer games than M2TW.. idk what is the problem. But i want to play TATW...

There can be another issue then.. Have you disabled UAC( User Account Control) before installing TATW?
This is important to do BEFORE installing TATW.

Just to be clear, apply that method for disabling UAC, and after that do all those steps in that post too, cause you have to do them. Otherwise, just disabling UAC won`t have an effect.
