Oldest Player in RTW

Who is the oldest player here?Lets see..
I bought the game in February of 2010 and i play since then.,I will speak only for rtw vanilla not for the expansions or for mods.I keep notes at my notepad so to know what i have done so far,i completed 23 campaigns 4 as Julii Romans[easy-easy,medium-medium,medium-hard,hard-hard,]3 as Scipii Romans[medium-medium,medium-hard,hard-hard],3 as Brutii Romans[easy-easy,medium-medium,hard-hard],1 as Egyptians[medium-medium],2 as Greeks[medium-medium,medium-hard],2 as Gauls[medium-medium,medium-hard],1 as Britons[hard-hard],3 as Germans[medium-medium,hard-medium,hard-hard],1 as Spanish[medium-medium],1 as Carthaginians[medium-medium],2 as Seleucid Empire[medium-medium,hard-hard].I tried several other campaigns with Parthians,Scythians but i failed and i gave up.At the moment i am playing a campaign with Brutii Romans on very hard very hard.I give more depth to cities development rather in quick expansion,[Winter of 215BC-9 cities,Carthaginians pawned]

There is hundreds of people that bought the game at it's release , so there is no "oldest " player , not even a group .

well I'm older than you it seems. 2010 was several years after RTW's release.

Never completed any campaign. I did test dozens of AI campaigns into several decades for my own mod...

I'm a baby. Bought the game in January, and completed a grand total of one full campaign ... My first campaign was a big failure, and my third campaign is in progress

You should try out some of the mods, Solitudian- I'm playing Rome total Realism VII at the moment and it's fantastic, like a completely new game- for something closer to vanilla but still a massive improvement, try Extended cultures which is also really good. These are the two that I have tried and there are many more.
I played vanilla for years before I played modified games but now I'd never go back.

I've been thinking about it, Duncan, but I want to play a bit more of vanilla first. Oddly enough, it was a video of Roma Surrectum II that convinced me to buy the game!

But I'll definitely look into Total Realism. Sounds like exactly what I want from a mod - keeps the soul of the game, but expands upon it.

I bought RTW in mid-2009 after only finding out about TW games in early 2009 when I discovered MTW and got hooked on.

I don't have much time to play and only managed one full vanilla campaign as Scipii (in which I painted the map blue). I played 2 BI campaigns as Franks and WRE and 1x Alexander. Due the "shiny" skins and some unrealistic units I couldn't go back to vanilla anymore after discovering mods such as RTR and VI2. There are still so many mods more I want to try out, but I also started on M2TW and well, TWR2 is around the corner...

Downloaded RTW 1st time spring 2005 ??? not sure but bit after release. Later i bought all of them: RTW, BI and Alexander

I bought the game in September/October 2004 with my best friend after school. We moved our PC's into the same room and played for weeks like that.

It was amazing - it came with a map and three disks!

me too hundreds and hundreds campaigns only finished few times with Julii and Seleucids

Yes, bought my three CD-ROM version on release day.

I think I was aware of the upcoming release of R:TW through the 'Time Commanders' TV show over here in the UK.

I had owned and played both Shogun and Medieval beforehand.

I found mods after playing for six months (or less) and have not played vanilla R:TW ever since - except to confirm that in a new install (change of PC numerous times) I could launch a vanilla campaign.

Bought the game for my birthday in October 2010 and played a Brutii campaign right through till Christmas. I then considered Rome to be my favourite TW game (I had also bought the other main 3 for my birthday) but since about 2011 Medieval 2 has been my favourite lol woohoo

Rome is still brilliant though, and such brilliance won't be surpassed by Rome II

I bought the game in November 2005, games conquering the entire map just two, but large empires over fifty and more than hundred short games, I think.
