    Default Damaged buildings?

Okay, this might seem like quite a silly question coming from someone who has played M2TW for as long as I have...

But... what does building 'damage' on the campaign map actually do? Does it actually limit the capabilities of a building (re: recruiting units/replenishing unit pools)

You don't get the benefit of a building that is damaged, therefore if it is a building required for training troops, you can't recruit those particular troops. If it is a building that has an effect on the populace, ie., causes happiness, contentment, etc., that benefit is lost. That is the reason you can cause a city to revolt by using assassins to destroy or damage key buildings. Eliminating the calming effect of churches, barracks, town centers, etc., by damaging them is an very powerful tool, especially if you want a city that someone else holds, but you don't want to start a war. Get the city to rebel, and then take it before the original owner can take it back, and it is not considered an act of war...

But is there a certain threshold? I just took two different castles - in one, a Bowyer at 10% health (90% damaged) was not functional, but a Garrison Quarters and Castle building at ~75% was fine?

In my mod, I have a few 'ruined' castles with 90% damage

I believe that the percentages just determine how much it costs to repair them.

Maybe only 100% damaged buildings don't produce.

I think if you have even 1% damage, the building has no effect/cannot produce units. At least that has been my experience when buying regions from the AI that the AI hasn't repaired.

Yeah I think so too, but then I saw Badger-dude's comment and it made me doubt .

Nope. It's exactly how Vampiresbane/Lord Jake says. Badger: pic or it didn't happen . Or maybe it was just a bug?

Got to agree- in my experience, any damage to a building makes it cease to function entirely.
