[Solved] Host's game version differs from yours

Hello there folks!

I uninstalled game about a month ago but a few days ago I reinstalled it but when try to play MP it says; "Host's game version differs from yours, you will not able to join this game"

there is no installed mod or something, clean Shogun 2 with all DLCs and FOTS.

so, what should I do to play MP again.

Are you sure of having no mods installed (check your data folder)? When you reinstalled, have you prior deleted also the shogun 2 steam folder?

I'm sure, I've tried mod for Shogun 2. I didn't remove Shogun 2 steam folder before reinstall.

I checked game's version it says; V1.1.0 build 5918.363609 (modded)

If you go to C:\Users\YOURWINDOWSUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\logs there is a file named modified.log which will state which files Shogun 2 is considering to be modded. It will display mods that are disabled in the mod manager, you don't need to delete those to be able to join games but the game will still display modded while they're in the folder.

a guy told to delete that and I've deleted ".mp_battle_setup and .sp_battle_setup" which located in AppData\Roaming\The Creative Assembly\Shogun2\logs is that bad? btw I can't find those files anymore

The log files get remade whenever the game is started so deleting the logs doesn't do anything really

You also need to have the same savefile in your multiplayer saves directory.

Maybe the 'Host' game is mooded, not yours.

last night, there was one game which I can join. but, rest of game list are unable to join. I was playing game without any problem before uninstall. I have no idea why I can't play anymore :/

Hello again, first thank you all for help +rep

I removed patch packs located in steamapps\common\Shogun 2 then verified game and there is no problem anymore, I can play MP again.
