Problems running MTW2 Fullscreen on Windows 8

Hi there,

I've recently bought a new laptop running on windows 8. Empire an Shogun 2 run perfect, but mtw2 (I don't use steam) doesn't run fullscreen. The taskbar runs infront, and on the right there is about 0.5 cm of the desktop visible. I have installed the latest drivers. Any ideas. Screen is attached. Tanks in advance.

Does your MTW2 Resolution = Windows 8 Screen Resolution

Yes, and it is in fullscreen mode

turn off windowed mode. You won't be able to alt-tab to open windows, but it should fix the problem.

I know this is an old thread. I have windows 8 as well. How do you turn off windowed mode? In my medieval2.preferance, the only w is widescreen. Help please.

been away awhile, its in the ss6.3 folder's default.cfg file.
