Random CTD's on Windows 8

This is really bugging me. I get completely random CTD's playing M2TW. I have made modifications to the game but I had the same problem before I made these.

Unfortunately, I have Windows 8 and I guess that may have something to do with it, since my PC is otherwise well up to specs.

Is Windows 8 a known cause of trouble with M2TW?

It might take Microsoft a ehile to get Win 8 right along with your graphics and sound drivers.
None of this is much above Beta, yet.

Have you tried lowering your settings in the meantime?
Have you run Windows Update installing all software options in case the "autoupdater" didn't?

Had the very same problem. It's your time settings. To fix: go to time settings > change time zone > and click off 'automatically adjust daylight saving time'. Should work fine after that
