The Town Criers of the Realm

Bells are the main medium of telling time and making announcements. A Common Bell is rung to summon civic meetings, courts, and as an alarm in case of fire or attack. The town crier rings a hand bell when he walks throughout the town declaiming news and proclamations. The criers are the main source of news for the city dwellers. They also have the task of ringing their bells to solicit prayers in memory of people who had paid for the privilege...

Archbishop Marcelo Ferrington has declared Baron de Clare's Kingship Void and has therefore Excommucated the baron. The baron will not be able to Receive Commuon or anything until he Repents for his sins

( And Yes I have the power to do this and do not worry. I will Roleplay the reason but mainly its because he declared himself king and what not.)

Lets keep this all separate for now I reckon, makes it more fun, Adamat and Ace can settle there thing in Sicily, and England continues on unawares of the Kings death and new King. More fun this way.

Excommunication: Lord William de Vassy

The Archbishop of Canterbury hereby declares Lord William de Vassy excommunicated from the church, he shall hence forth be deprived from all holy sacraments and Christian privileges. Lord de Vassy has committed unforgivable acts against the Church and God, the heretic known as William de Vassy must be punished for his crimes against the Church and God. The crimes are as listed the assault of an archbishop of the church, attempting to forge official documents of the church, committing Heresy by placing an archbishop of the church beaten and naked on a donkey to be marched along the walls of London, the slaughter of innocent men in attempt to usurp the rightful King of England God's representative on earth.

DECLARATION OF REPENTANCE OF LORD WILLIAM DE VASSY OF NOTTINGHAM,

1110 Anno Domini

I recognise that I have sinned against the Church and against God by harming a Papally ordained representative of the Church, Henry Burke, Archbishop of Canterbury. However, these crimes were for a reason. His Grace the Archbishop was found inside a barn committing sodomy with a local Farmer, as well as attempting to convince me to turn from the rightful path of the church and take part in Satanic rituals. Therefore, I attempted to make the Archbishop cease with his madness; my methods were not entirely pure, although I hereby do swear I did not stray from the path of the Lord our God. I did not condemn any man to slaughter who was not guilty of the crime of treason by serving the faithless and accursed Richard de Clare; a man who the Archbishop had seemingly convinced to take up his Satanic faith and claim the Christian throne of England.

Seeing as the Archbishop cannot prove the crimes of Heresy and Forgery, I shall repent the crimes I recognise by fasting for a day as well as donating alms to the poor and impoverished of London, as well as rebuilding the damage caused by Richard De Clare's men.
