The man is Escorted by a altar boy who was just about to return home to the Archbishops room. The Archbishop was just done writing letters of approval on some parchment for some priests when he looked up and saw the man. He smiled at the man and dismissed the boy before turning back to the man and smiling.

" Hello Sir, How May I be of service to you ?. And please feel free to take a seat. So how may I help you sir ? " He asked the man in a calm voice as he then turned back to completing his last letter of recommendation as he waited for the man to speak.

He bowed in reverence, taking a seat.

It is an honour, your eminence. I am Sir William de Vassy, and I have come to inquire about church matters on behalf of His Majesty... If that is acceptable, Your Grace?

Marcelo Ferrington listened to the man and then looked up at him. What did the royal family want to know about the church or him specifically. He assumed it was just normal questions a new King asks so he just nodded his head at the man.

" Of course, what chain matters do you wish to discuss with me ? " He asked the man in a calm voice as he wondered himself what kind of questions he was going to be asked and what would happen if he answers them in a way the man does not like. But he brushed the idea away from his mind as he waited for the first question.

OOC: Church, sorry, it's my spell checker :L

    William mused.

Well, your eminence... Do you feel you can trust your bishops?

Marcelo Ferrington listened to the first question and raised a eyebrow. What kind of question was that, He wondered, of course he trusted his bishops and all of the church members. If he had any doubt about their trust he would have them excommunication or burned at the stake for Hersey. But he could not tell the man that, As the man would not understand that reasoning.

" Of course I can trust my bishops. Each of them was appointed by me and by god himself and I have the utmost trust in my bishops as does the holy father and god himself. So yes I trust them. Why has one of my bishops done something against the teachings of the church ?. " He asked the man in a still calm voice. He needed to know the answer to that question. If someone has gone against the teaching of the church he would need to know and take care of that person. He hoped not as he would hate to kill a man when it was time of celebration for the new king.

Marcelo Ferrington looked at the man again with curious eyes. Had he not just answered that very question before. Taking a deep breath and letting it out slowly he answers the man question again.

" Yes I have the utmost trust in my bishops and of the clergy in general "

    He nodded slowly.

Very good... And I hope that the tithes are being collected in proper order?

Marcelo Ferrington nodded his head at the man.

" Yes they are being collected in proper order. before we continue good sir and I hope you do not mind me asking. But why is the King interested in the dealings of the Church ?. The clergy are all appointed by me to their positions and each one of them I trust. As well that I trust they are collecting the Tithes properly and are in order. If the king wanted to know these things I could have easily went to see him and tell him myself. But anyway.. Please do continue sir " He said in a calm voice but was slowly getting annoyed with all these questions that he could of told the King himself if he asked for them.

    He smiled reassuringly.

Do not panic, your grace. This is merely formality. I know that the church is in good shape.

Marcelo Ferrington Nodded his understanding and began to write another note of approval for another priest.

" Please do continue with your questioning. I am just writing another letter of approval for a priest. It seems that lately many want to join the ranks of the clergy although not all are fit to become a priest. But that is another story, Anyway after you are done asking your questions. Do you wish to watch a service that I will be be doing ?. It is up to you of course but I just thought ill let you know about it. "
He said in a calm voice as he thought of a good reason why to reject this man wanting to become a priest.

Marcelo Ferrington smiled at the man.

" So do you have any more questions for me good sir ?. " He asked in a calm voice as he finished the last letter of approval or more like rejection as he did not accept the last request to become a man of the cloth.

Marcelo Ferrington smiled at the man and got to his feet and walked towards the doors outside of his office. Once outside he could see that a crowd had gathered for mass and although the service had just begun it was still a good size crowd. He walked towards the altar and says a silently prayer before beginning the service. He walks to the altar and kneels as he prays and does the sign of the cross. He then utters the words "Introibo ad altare Dei, ad Deum qui lætificat iuventutem meam", The servers next to him utter the same words before he utters the next words "Our help is in the name of the Lord", to which the servers add: "Who made heaven and earth." He then bows before the altar and utters the words "Confíteor Deo omnipoténti, beátæ Maríæ semper Vírgini, beáto Michaéli Archángelo, beáto Ioanni Baptístæ, sanctis Apóstolis Petro et Paulo, ómnibus Sanctis, et vobis, fratres (tibi, Pater), quia peccávi nimis cogitatióne, verbo et ópere: mea culpa, mea culpa, mea máxima culpa. Ideo precor beátam Maríam semper Vírginem, beátum Michaélem Archángelum, beátum Ioánnem Baptístam, sanctos Apóstolos Petrum et Paulum, omnes Sanctos, et vos, fratres (te, Pater), oráre pro me ad Dóminum Deum nostrum." In which the servers next to him respond to him "May Almighty God have mercy on thee, forgive thee thy sins, and bring thee to life everlasting." The Archbishop then prays and the prayer of the masses begin.

He then begins the prayer of the masses which he then finishes with the hym of the mother of god.

    Refrain: Rejoice, O Unwedded Bride!
    O Virgin pure, immaculate/ O Lady Theotokos
O Virgin Mother, Queen of all/ and fleece which is all dewy
More radiant than the rays of sun/ and higher than the heavens
Delight of virgin choruses/ superior to Angels.
Much brighter than the firmament/ and purer than the sun's light
More holy than the multitude/ of all the heav'nly armies.

    Rejoice, O Unwedded Bride!
O Ever Virgin Mary/ of all the world, the Lady
O bride all pure, immaculate/ O Lady Panagia
O Mary bride and Queen of all/ our cause of jubilation
Majestic maiden, Queen of all/ O our most holy Mother
More hon'rable than Cherubim/ beyond compare more glorious
than immaterial Seraphim/ and greater than angelic thrones

    Rejoice, O Unwedded Bride!
Rejoice, O song of Cherubim/ Rejoice, O hymn of angels
Rejoice, O ode of Seraphim/ the joy of the archangels
Rejoice, O peace and happiness/ the harbor of salvation
O sacred chamber of the Word/ flow'r of incorruption
Rejoice, delightful paradise/ of blessed life eternal
Rejoice, O wood and tree of life/ the fount of immortality

    Rejoice, O Unwedded Bride!
I supplicate you, Lady/ now do I call upon you
And I beseech you, Queen of all/ I beg of you your favor
Majestic maiden, spotless one/ O Lady Panagia
I call upon you fervently/ O sacred, hallowed temple
Assist me and deliver me/ protect me from the enemy
And make me an inheritor/ of blessed life eternal.
    Rejoice, O Unwedded Bride!

And with that the service was over and the Archbishop smiled as the masses began to leave and he was soon left alone with the man from before. He hoped he liked the service this evening.

(( Translation - I confess to almighty God, to blessed Mary ever Virgin, to blessed Michael the archangel, to blessed John the Baptist, to the holy apostles Peter and Paul, to all the saints, and to you, brethren, that I have sinned exceedingly in thought, word, and deed through my fault, through my fault, through my most grievous fault. Therefore I beseech blessed Mary ever Virgin ... and you, brethren, to pray to the Lord our God for me.) The servers pray for the priest: "May Almighty God have mercy on thee, forgive thee thy sins, and bring thee to life everlasting." ))

William never liked Christianity. But he put on a brave face, and smiled at the archbishop.

Thank you, your grace. I shall write back to the king detailing my progress.

Marcelo Ferrington smiled at the man. Although he wonder if the man liked the service or not, Or even if the man understood the importance of mass. But he brushed those thoughts aside as he looked at the man.

" Very well then, Tell the King that I send my regards and that I hope to speak to him in the coming days. " He said in a soft voice as he headed back to his office to check if he needed to do anything else before early morning prayers and a wedding tommrow.
