A hooded man approached the castle.
When asked about his business, he replied that he was looking for employment as a henchman.
House Rowan of Golden Grove
He is permitted to enter the main hall of the castle, where the Baron was holding court.
He addressed the Lord,
"A good day for you, Monseigneur," he spoke with a thick French accent.
"My name sis Gerner Fourneaux... a former crusader. Currently looking for a new master to serve."
House Rowan of Golden Grove
The baron smiled, and replied in French, with the slight oddity of Norman dialect creeping in. He stood to address the man.
Ah, it is good to see a fellow man of the south in my court, rather than one of those barbarous Saxons. Are you a knight, good sir?
"Non," he replied in short.
"My sword is far better than any knight's, though," he grinned.
House Rowan of Golden Grove
He nodded slowly.
Then you shall be my squire, if you so wish. I can offer you a knighthood if all you claim is true.
He nodded.
"Very well, Sire. Thank you," he said, in a tone that did not show any actual gratitude, looking at the floor with his dark, cold eyes.
"In what may I serve you?"
House Rowan of Golden Grove
he shrugs.
There is little to do at this time.
A letter arrives from the Archbishop of Canterbury addressed to the Lord Nottingham
I am please with your intent to repent your sins, and I do wish to absolve you but I do have doubts of the purity of your claims. I ask that you come visit me within Canterbury, and perhaps this ordeal may be placed behind us.

The church is a house of God, it is a place of santcuary and peace whilst within the walls of the cathedral you shall not be touched to this i give you my word. i would also state that should one wish to repent his sins it is best to be heard from a house of God.
