i was wondering if there was a trick to getting the people to love u as the romans. i conquer a lot like the manual says and yet they still hate me. but it seems that, even tho the senate tells me to conquer, when the senate likes me the peple dont, and when "a chance for power" comes up, the senate hates me. i wanna attcak rome! i no u can just fail an assacanation attempt on the senate and get outlawed, but the pepl REALLY hate me. is there a quik way to gain the "people"s support :hmmm:

Really the only way to gain the support of the people is through victory and conquest. Perhaps you should try to ignore the missions given to you by the Senate and just do your own conquering.

I think that completing Senate missions does not help your popularity with the people.

i would do my own conquering, if my own path was more different then the senates. their missions make sence in the order of conquest in my opinion. is there any other way to get outlawed???

If you want to get outlawed, just repeatedly ignore every single Senate mission.

Not really, no. Just ignore the Senate missions and go conquer other areas.

I pretty much ignore the senate until it's civil war time.

Is there actually any benefit from completing the senate missions?

Units, money, elections, games at the senate's expence. I think those games might increase your popularity with the people and being the better of the roman factions also helps.

yeah but sometimes the senate tells u 2 do the gayest missions ever. once i was the julii and they told me 2 take alexandria. and they always tell me to declare war on pepl just to blocade their ports so alot of times i would just ignore them and concentrate on the people

The easiest way I've found to get the People to like you is to make generals heroes. If you win many victories with a general over a short period of time and those victories include conquering of cities and winning battles by large margins your generals will gain stats like "famous hero". That and other attributes give bonuses to popularity with the people just like there are stats that increase your popularity with the senate. I've never really found the Senate missions to affect your popularity with the People, but some of the gold bonuses and unit bonuses can be nice in the begginning of the game.
