BI will not work

I have the single RTW Gold Edition disk that is used for both RTW amd BI, and when i install the game, Rome works fine, but i click to run BI and it says 'windows cannot access the specified device, path or file. You may not have the appropriate permission to access them'

Is this something i can fix? Thanks

I've never seen that message before. It's a bit wierd that R:TW works but not R:TW BI.

Thanks mate but i tried all them and none worked. Still the same message whenever i try to open BI. Its a shame, really wanted to play as the Sarmatians for some reason aha

Well, it may just be a bad install.

So, the advice would be - uninstall the game, remove all traces (including the 'virtual store') of the game, re-boot and re-install.

Also - take a copy of your preferences.txt and keys.dat files (both in the preference folder) - or just take a copy of the folder itself (and the saves, replays folders)....

The virtual store is where windows can put some files. The AppData itself is a hidden folder so you need to change your folder options to 'show hidden files, folders etc'. You can either run %appdata% to get the start of the path or look for something like c:\Users\"useraccount"\AppData" and then follow the path....
