I need some audio speeches of the following era's :

A roman general of sorts, may be latin.

A medieval speech, english if possible.

A ww2 german speech, does not have to be from hitler.

And finally a bush speech. I thought this was easy to get but its all pretty protected.

I thought maybe you guys know some sites because google just directs me to text speeches.

    Thanks

Ok, for the Bush speeches, do a google search for the "state of the union" speech, or just type "Bush wav". There is also an edited version of the State of the Union speech, which has been done to make it sound like Bush is talking about killing Iraqi's and destroying the constitution. Its very well done as well.

For the medieval English one, why dont you look for something from Shakespeare? There's bound to be plenty of audio recordings online

You can probably find a sound or video of Shakespeare's Henry V "Band of Brothers" speech (don't know the exact name). I remember hearing it in Empire Earth, so if they've done it there, it must be elsewhere too. The fact that it's a play also hightens the chances for that I guess.

Also, if you just need latin speech and not a latin battle speech by a Roman general, you could just get it from any movie that has latin in it. I'm thinking Passion of the Christ, maybe.

if you can't find the audio files, it's because they are packed. You need a tool to unpack them. They're supposed to be in the Rome\Data\Sounds - folder.

Also, I don't really know, but I guess the speeches are in the "Voice" files. Which one I don't know. Perhaps several in all of them. Unpack the smallest ones first to see if they have what you're looking for.

Surely those speeches would be in English though? I thought you said you wanted them in Latin if possible?

I might be wrong, but didnt the EB or RTR mod have Latin speech's? If so, why not contact the makers of the mod and ask them to send you the speech files?

Fair point, but if people are too stupid to equate latin with the Romans then are you sure you really want them to be listening to your music anyway? :tooth:

What are you going to use the samples for anyway? to play over something you've written?

Why not use "Friends, Romans, Countrymen!"? Should be pretty obvious that the guy's Roman. Of course, you don't get the latin then, but meh.

Edit: Also, this one is good for ww2 german speech methinks. Famous Goebbels speech: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rEitw...bbels%20speech

The sound is a little off, but that can be edited. And you'r eonly supposed to have the speech, aren't you?

Yes, they are for my new song.

Its a song about an confrontation between a christian and pagan groups in a northren forest. The christian general lost his son and blames the pagans and the pagans are tired of being accused of all crimes all the time.

But the christian his son was taken by a being that for me resembles darkness(call it evil) this being is just a man with a twisted sense of humor as he likes to give somebody power and take it away to see them getting destroyed(Nazi's, Romans, Victorian english ect ect you get the point).

The part where the samples will be used is the part where he talks, i want his "victims" to be played under that.
