Alt-Tab out of game

Finally got around around to getting a new computer with Windows 7.
Well, when I would play MTW2 on my old machine with XP, I would add a line of code to the medieval2preference.cfg file.

windowed = 1
borderless_window = 1

That worked great between turns. I could Alt-Tab out of the game, take care of business, then go back and the resume play.
Now it doesn't work at all, especially with my 23-inch screen. The game will come up in a smaller window, but it seems impossible to change the size of that window.
Has anyone else had this problem?

I think you are missing a line... I have Win 7 and it works perfectly, let me see my settings; try windowed = true and borderless_window=true also if you run too high resolution there might be a problem if you didn't run the MTW2 setup again after getting the new computer- I don't know if you transferred over or reinstalled everything? I simply installed win 7 over the older windows I had and even with 64 bit I had not problems. I have both 23 inch screen and 27 and it works on whichever I set as monitor 1 in Win 7 though the default resolution has to be equal.

Thanks Ichon, that did it. I think where I was screwed up was I didn't have the resolutions the same. I also remembered that you need another window open to Alt-Tab to!
