peace with romans possible after taking eagle?
hi there,
im currently playing DM v8, as Carthage on europa 270BC map, on M/M.
managed to conquer all of sicily and southern italy, completely destorying the scipii early in the game thanx to those GODLY elephants. reduced the brutii to 1 city. so i basically own everything under ROME itself and the city next to it. i did this on purpose in order to put sth between me and the julii who r doing quite well against the gaul.
now i was wondering if it was possible to make peace with the romans?
cuz the romans just seem to HATE carthage even from the beginning of the game. i mean, really HATE, plus, i think taking out the scipii and most of the brutii and in the process stacking up at least 7-8 eagles hasnt helped.
so is it possible to make peace at all? even after 20-30yrs?

ah, sad. i was hoping to be able to strike a peace treaty with them.
oh well, as it is, the julii are not touching me. the SPQR army sits near rome and doesnt come near me. and my spies inform me that the brutii city has stopped growing at 4000 population and the income was -800. but after sending me half their troops to die, now their income is +70. i doubt they will be sending me anymore troops or any major armies.
i doubt SPQR will expand.
so im pulling my armies out to deal with gauls and the spanish. both betrayed me within a few turns.
