    Default Demo in next week?

According to some unofficial sources, the demonstration version of MTW II will be finished by next week. However, this information is unconfirmed and it does not mean that the demo will be released to the public then - at the end it's all up to Sega.

Even when taking into consideration the unofficial nature of this news, it still seems that this info regarding the demo can be true. After all, it is high time for the developers to have the demonstration version of MTW II prepared. Hopefully, it will be released soon.

Wow, that was quick. I wouldn't have expected them to release a demo until at least a month before release. Unless Sega decides to hold the demo indefinately....

That is a bit quick, too quick even.
That they will be finished with the demo is great but I seriously doubt they would release the demo next week. The game is still too far away.
I would guess on september tho.

I wonder if the demo will give us a decent indication towards system specs, or whether it's scale will be to small for us to know?
I don't want to get the actual game, just to find out that my PC needs a turbo up it's backside, then have to give it to the upgrader for some love for a week or so, I would like to do it ready for said game in advance!

It will give you a good indication.
The demo will probably be on normal size and if you can run that smooth on high settings then that's atleast something.
The RTW demo was optimised for normal setting and if you modded the unit sizes so they became larger it became choppy. This didn't happen in the full game.
    Also something you can consider.

It would be nice if there was a demo next week, but I hope they dont rush it because then its no good sign for the full game.

It would be great to see a demo appear soon, thanks for the info!

If they were to release a playable demo next week though, would that mean the work on the AI that they claim to be doing until release would be completed? or would there still be work to be done after the demo? i always thought that by demo stage the game would be almost completely finished

Well, Maybe CA want the publics opinion on the game...small bug and such that they can chage before november. How knows?

Bollocks. I'm excited now and I know I'm gonna be disappointed. There has always been a demo a month before release when it comes to CA, they haven't differed at all during their three TW releases. Perhaps SEGA have different plans? One can only hope.

Well the demo battles for RTW and BI were heavily scripted battles so CA can probably still work on the ai once the demo is out as the demo will not be representative of the finished game in that respect.

October would be more likely. CA will certainly release the true date of their demo.

Don't even TRY to think about it. We will have you flogged, beaten, eaten and stripped before you know it.

    On topic:

Well, I got high hopes for a "demo soon". We probably won't see the demo one month before release though. And according to CA, that means at the beginning of october ... THE AGONY! THE WAITING! AAAAARGH!

Yeah I seriously doubt that CA will release the demo this soon if they are sticking with a November release. Also I expect the demo to be similar to the RTW demo with heavy scripting involved.
