Medieval II Crusades Technical Help

Hey guys,

Alright so about a year ago I uninstalled the kingdoms expansion pack from my computer and recently went to reinstall them. The problem that I am having is that the crusades expansion pops up as having already been installed, however when I click to play it obviously just results in an error message because it is not in fact installed. So basically my computer is registering that it is installed and ready to play even though there is nothing there. Moreover, there are not options for me to install or uninstall it. I have also gone to my control panel and removed all traces of the crusades expansion from my computer yet the problem still persists. Any suggestions as to how I ed things up this horribly?

CA's uninstaller does not clean up any of it.
