crashes when entering battles

Hi there.
In my opinion this is the best mode for any of the total war series. I just LOVE the game.
But i have a very stupid bug and i was wondering if anyone could help me... I have the 3.2 third age and i have been having problems when playing either custom battle or in the campaign battle. The bug is rather strange but i have come to a conclusion that whenever there is a Mumakil or ents or giant spiders in the battle my game crashes!!! Its really getting on my nerves because currently i am supposed to conquer Isengard with ents...

Do you have any submods installed or have you edited any campaign files? And when you say you're supposed to conquer Isengard with Ents are you talking about the Fellowship Campaign?

No i don't have any submods and yes, I am thinking of the Felowship campaign :-D

Hmm, the fellowship campaign can be buggy at times. Maybe it's just a random crash, have you tried reloading and trying again a couple of times?

yes and sometimes it works sometimes doesn't... For example i play 10 custom battles without those tricky units and then i try one battle with those units, then it works. And then i go to the Frodo's mission with the rangers and the stupid harads with mumakils and this is kinda funny when it works. It works when I'm loosing the battle but when I kill 30% of the harads with light looses(around 5%) from my side it crashes! And of course when i loose from the beginning it won't crash till the end... That problem i have for 2 days(I have installed the game 2 days ago. Don't think I'm rookie because I had this game on my last computer, where i won 5 campaigns(high elves, Mordor, Gondor, Dwarfes plus the fellowship) so I can say I'm experienced here xD).

Should I try to reinstall the game? Is there a way i could save the save games?

Sometimes the fellowship campaign is just buggy. I don't think there is a fix to it. Since you said it only crashes sometimes, I wouldn't suggest trying to reinstall.

Like StealthFox said, it's probably random. I had the same issue on the clean installed version when in the fellowship campaign fighting with Ithilien Rangers against Mumakils it was crashing once every 3, 4 tries.
