Default Changing Unique Index # in Assembly Kit

Assembly kit doesn't recognize the Otomo units and has assigned some of my custom made units the same Index #, resulting in a crash. I'd prefer not to have to delete the Otomo units out of the CA .packs, but I'm not sure what else to do.

Assembly kit doesn't let me change the Index #, does anyone have a work around?

Well changing them all to the 6k+ range with PFM after I packed didn't work

I'm really stumped by what's all of a sudden causing the crash. Adding them one by one most of my modded files still work, until I get to units. I thought for sure it would be because of the Unique ID's...

At what point does your mod crash?

On startup. The telltale cursor change. If it switches to the Shogun 2 cursor you're in the clear, but if it stays a mouse pointer you're finished.

I don't think I'm referencing something I forgot to pack, since even when I grab the units_tables from another mod (without its references) it will at least make it to the main menu. Plus I don't think units_tables references anything important anyway (I didn't add any new building_levels as a requirement).

This makes me think I've added an illegal value somewhere, but all I could come up with was the Unique Index #.

EDIT: This is really puzzling me. If I hack out all vanilla units through PFM, I can load up the units_tables (and the rest of my mod). What's strange about this is I didn't have to do so a week ago - the game would load units_tables fine even with existing units included.

All I did was change cost, upkeep, recruit time, names, and added a couple secondary building requirements.

Do you have the loc file updated with your custom units?

I tried it both ways earlier, whether I updated units.loc or not resulted in the same crash.

Right now, without the crashing changes to vanilla units, I do have an updated units.loc and there are new references in unit_description_texts for my new units. They still include the new names for the vanilla units, too.

In looking for differences between my changed units and the ones in data.pack, I notice PFM doesn't include the "Fitness" column. Probably not relevant, but what is it?

EDIT: I pieced together my new units with the unmodified vanilla units_tables and it works. So I must have added something illegal in there somewhere, but I have no idea what...

Now to redo my changes - is there any way to get XML from PFM? I'd prefer to stick to using the Assembly Kit.
