Default Who is your favourite Baddy? [SPOILERS!]

Pretty self-explanatory really - which purveyor of evil do you find yourself liking despite all the bad things they have done?

For me, it has to Littlefinger. A quick summary of all that he is known (or suspected) to have done.
Convinced Jon Arryn to send Sweetrobyn away for fostering, had affair with Lysa Arryn, stroked her ego and fed her paranoia, persuaded her to murder her husband, then convinced her to send message to Catelyn Stark telling her that it was the Lannisters who murdered her husband.
When Catelyn arrived at Kings Landing, told her that the blade used to attack her and Bran was won off him by Tyrion Lannister, causing Catelyn to kidnap him and precipitate the War of the Five Kings.
Gave Ned Stark just enough rope to hang himself over Joffrey calls-himself-Baratheon, then betrayed him to the Lannisters.
Privately persuaded Joffrey to execute Ned Stark instead of sending him to the Wall.
Negotiated marriage alliance between Margaery Tyrell and Joffrey and was named Lord of Harrenhall, but at the same time arranged for the murder of Joffrey by the Tyrells, and then betrayed the Tyrell plans for Sansa to the Lannisters and then arranged for Sansa's escape from Kings Landing and then murdered the man who risked his life to help her escape.
Was probably behind the attempt by Ser Mandon Moore to kill Tyrion Lannister
Was probably behind the Antler Men
Was probably responsible for the Kings Landing riots that saw Tyrek Lannister disappear, possibly into his "safekeeping"
Creepy, predatory relationship with his "daughter" Sansa
Has half the lords and ladies in Westeros in his debt
Binds Ser Lyn Corbray to him by supplying small boys
    Slowly poisoning Sweetrobyn with sweetsleep.
Biggest pimp in Westeros, which despite GRRMs glamourisation of prostitution is most certainly not a good thing
Murders his new wife in cold blood, then blames her singer and has him killed too.

In short, he is perhaps the biggest monster in Westeros. He may not be a bloodthirsty killer like Gregor Clegane or Ramsay Snow, but he has as much blood on his hands as anyone. But he is well dressed, courteous, and his breath is always minty fresh. I love him.

Honorable mentions. Roose "A peaceful land, a quiet people" Bolton and Cersei "evil and inept" Lannister.

Always keep your foes confused. If they are never certain who you are or what you want, they cannot know what you are like to do next. Sometimes the best way to baffle them is to make moves that have no purpose, or even seem to work against you - Littlefinger

    ROOSE BOLTON!

A culculated cruelty and evil machine! whats not to looove

Tywin is probably a close second. But Roose....... I love you!

Varys isn't really a bad guy I would've suggested you to add Viserys to the list, and Joffrey, and Sandor Clegane

    Joffrey

Sandor isn't really a baddy is he though? He's the beast part of the Beauty and the Beast.

But Joffrey Ah well, that's why there's an "other" option

In terms of out right personal dislike it's Walder Frey closely followed by Joffrey. Littlefinger is as much a 'bad guy' as anyone in the books but he does it with such class I find it hard to dislike him. I also appreciate his abilities of the mind's power over the body, and so far he's outsmarted everyone that the Seven Kingdoms has to offer. Walder I will never forgive for the Red Wedding and Joff was just a little ** wasn't he? ;D

The Red Wedding was all Tywin. He just used the Freys as pawns.
It is such a quiet thing, to fall. But far more terrible is to admit it.

I don't think it was that clear cut, they were at least very willing pawns

Going with Tywin Lannister. Military genius, cruel, cold, calculating and the best damn Hand the Seven Kingdoms had in a long time.

Tywin Lannister is definitely not cruel, he sees terror and violence as a means to an end but never as the goal itself.

I chose Varys, I don't think he's really evil as such but I just think he's awesome

Oh there's a little bit of cruelty in there. I agree that he knows that terror and violence are merely tools, but he enjoys using them just a little too much. He gets a definite kick out of playing the evil genius.

The whole point of G.R.R Martin's amazing character development is that there is really no "baddies"

Some characters may seem evil, but in the end they're all human, displaying different human traits.

I would definitely not consider Tywin Lannister, Petyr Baelish or Varys as evil anyway

That is called grey morality, not character development.

He is cruel. The Reynes would tell you, but he killed them all.

I don't think he killed the Reynes because he was cruel though. He did it to send a message to his other banner men. Unlike Ramsay he doesn't enjoy meaningless killing. Of course when it's necessary he has no problem killing even children (Targaryens) but he does it because it has to be done.

I think little finger is. He seems to be one of the smartest players in the game of thrones and I wouldn't be surprised if he nearly wins the throne for himself. I think Sansa will actually kill him. He is my top 5 favorite characters also.

    Littlefinger, for sure.

He is the biggest schemer, except maybe for Varys because he has contacts in Essos, but Littlefinger works pretty much ALONE. He's outsmarting everyone, and if he doesn't get betrayed by Sansa he will get VERY high. In westeros, very few can say to be on par of him, one of them being Tywin Lannister and the other Varys, but now Tywin is dead and Varys is forced into shadows...

...Forced? Hmmm I'd go and reread that, doesn't seem very forced to me. Seems willing. Believe it was part of his plan to do it. It's hardly stopped him from doing anything as he killed two people in the Capital cities castle.
