    Icon1 Australian Troop Uniforms

Hey, I have been playing the game for about two hours, and stumbled upon Australian troops! This made me happy as I'm Australian. But I did come across a problem; The uniforms are not correct?

I know that the Australian troops did use British uniforms etc, but they did have their own set, the curved hats etc. I believe they looked incredibly similar to the 'U.S Marine' troops that are in the game. I don't know if this was planned to be changed, but I feel that accuracy is everything in a game like this, it may be a small thing, but it makes a big difference, especially to an Australian haha.

Here is an example of what they should look like: http://www.grantsmilitaria.com/gall/pix/images/411.jpg
    Thank you for reading.

Actually, out of all imperial troops that fought on the Western Front, the Australians were the only ones to have their own uniform instead of using the British service dress. Although the Canadians did have their own pattern of service dress, it was gradually replaced by the British SD, and was only subtly different (straight collar, no shoulder reinforcement, different number of buttons, tighter fit).

I attached two portrait photos to the post: a British soldier and an Australian digger. Ignore the hats for now. The difference should be obvious between the fitted British pattern 1902 SD and the baggy Australian 1914 pattern tunic with its big pockets (perfect for carrying grenades and other kits).

The slouch hat was actually the least Australian-specific part of the uniform as it was used by all British and imperial troops in tropical regions around the world; although only the Australians and New Zealanders brought it to Europe. And besides it wasn't worn in combat once helmets were adopted.

(ok, perhaps that was too subtle. I realise most people can only recognise hats and ignore the whole rest of the uniform and equipment)

Edit: upon closer look this is likely a pattern 1917 Australian jacket rather than the pattern 1914 due to the lack of belt. The comparison is still valid though.

Oh, I must be thinking World War 2 when it came to the British uniforms being implemented to the Aus forces. I apologise for that, but I do still think the hats should be changed, and like you said people take more notice of the hats more than the subtle differences with the clothing and I do understand where you're coming from.

"The slouch hat was actually the least Australian-specific part of the uniform as it was used by all British and imperial troops in tropical regions around the world; although only the Australians and New Zealanders brought it to Europe." I feel that is a good reason, among others, to add it in perhaps?

To be honest, I didn't really take much notice of the Aussie uniform until I saw the "U.S Marine" troops that are in the game. I thought to myself "that's the ANZAC uniform?". I believe the U.S troops (all these hats haha) had straight rimmed hats: http://www.grantsmilitaria.com/gall/pix/images/76.jpg like that. I only think these should be changed simply because of the difference in uniform looks.

I really aim to improve this mod as much as I can with my feedback, thanks.
