Default Kingdoms (and mods) battles are slow and laggy.

The menu and the campaign map run perfectly well. However, whenever I try to play a battle in any of the Kingdoms campaigns or the BC mod, the game becomes really slow taking up to a few minutes to load the battle and everything moves really slow making the game pretty much unenjoyable.

I can play the regular M2TW perfectly fine so I don't think it's the graphic card unless the requirement for Kingdoms is greater than the one for the original game. Just in case, I lowered all the settings to the minimum but nothing changed.

    I'm using Windows7

    Processor: Intel(R) Pentium(R) Dual CPU E2180 @ 2.00GHz (2 CPUs), ~2.0GHz
    Memory: 2048MB RAM
    DirectX Version: DirectX 11
Card name: Intel(R) G33/G31 Express Chipset Family

Does anyone know a way to fix this?

With those specs and better battles, it will cost you a new computer. No way around it.

What are the required specs then? I thought it only needed 1.5 Ghz processor and like 500Mb RAM

And a decent dedicated graphics card. Your graphics chip is bottom of the barrel on a good day to play at all.
Do you want CA's idea of minimum specs or do you want decent recommended specs from players who have played it since its release?
One more clinker neither CA nor Sega will admit to but us players with marginal computers found out ina hurry with the release of Kingdoms, it takes 25% more resources than vanilla.
You should have been around for the howls, then.

Well, anything that'll allow me play this game as well as newer TW games without costing too much (seeing as I'll probably be the one paying for it) would be great.

    1. What is the brand and model of your present computer?
    2. What is your monitor resolution?
    3. What is your budget?

    It's an HP-Pavilion KN275AA-ABM a6400la

    Resolution 1440 x 900

As to the budget, prices might be different here in Mexico so I just want an estimate.
Please keep in mind I'm more of a casual player so I don't really need to have high specs.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130585 will play the game and maybe you can get by using the same power supply.
If not, the power supply will cost more than the card.

That wasn't too bad, I was expecting it to be around the hundreds. I take it I'll have to change the processor as well for newer games.

Anyway, thanks for your help mate.

Newer games will mean faster cpu, more ram, and better graphics card.
