Any mods with original map?

As the title suggests, I've just installed Rome Total War on my new PC, and patched the game to 1.5, and I was looking through mods and most of them add Africa, India, Sweden, etc. Are there any good mods out there that add to the original game but keep the original map (Although I wouldn't mind the northern part of the map being expanded slightly)?

I installed a mod not long ago that added Barbarian Invasion features (aswell as lots of new units to the original factions). I can remember peasents being able to swim and being able to train Samnite Warriors as the Julii. Does anybody know what this mod is?

Not sure which mod talking about but Darthmod 8.0 keeps original map and adds new units and harder AI(based on 1.5)

Thank you. I am considering downloading the mod, it may have been the Darth Mod.

I have some more updates on the mod that I am specifically looking for. It edited unit abilities so that RTW units could do BI formations, such as Triarii do shield wall.

You are talking about the RTW-Bi enhancement pack done by Borsook.

It is most likley that a mod like that would be in the hosted community projects section under mini mods. Unfortunately there are a lot of mods there so you could spend a long time looking and not find it. I haven't heard of this mod so I can't help you, but maybe someone else has.

Again, the mini mods section is the most likely place to find mods that do not touch the original maps. Have a look around in there.
