Please Help! Chivalry can't stop CTD'ing

I installed 0.33 -->0.44 mod's and everything went fine, but then i tried using the hotfix (20,3 mb) but the description of the building went away but instead i got xtra buildings from BI???

Then i tried the patches 1.01 --> 1.05 and the game crashed at startup giving all sorts of errors like "missing skeletons" in exp_descr_unit file .....

Please help me......

well, the mod is for RTW 1.5 or RTW:bi 1.6, so if thats the patches you were talking about, you should have installed them before you install the mod, i think, otherwise i am not sure what results you might get. So try installing the 1.5 patch for RTW and then the mod, and make sure you run the mod through the shortcut it creates.

Hi, thanx 4 the help but what you are suggesting is already how it is on my computer...

I went from:
RTW 1.0 --> RTW 1.2 --> RTW BI --> RTW 1.5

Then CTW 0.34 + music addon--> CTW 0.44

Up to here it's fine....

But when i do the community mod's everything get's turned upside down and i get all
sort's of errors mostly CTD when i start up the game, no error messages just "poof" back to desktop.
When an error message does occur, it says there's something wrong with the "exp_descr_unit"
-file....something about missing "skeletons" 4 a "naxarar"- unit....

Any more suggestions for me would be really great!!!

I think the problem is the community mod.
Community mod if i have understand it's only for chivalry 0.33 and not for 0.44 ... correct me if i wrong

Now it atleast makes some sense....

So 0.44 is the most recent patch or has anyone released some xtra's ?
My unit's (not in battle but in the description of the unit when u right-click on them) are still all peasants......

You are welcome ... the most recent public patch is 0.44, plus the 4 published hotfixes: 0.44a, camp.soundfix, T&A and portsfix. That's all. I recommend read always the readme's, then you would know that Chiv 0.44 (and higher) doesn't support community mods (or vice versa) :wink: Daudr's community mod was supposed to install on 0.34, afaik.

more patches are coming.. right now we are beta testing the new patch which will be released in a month or so... and no we are not waiting for M2TW... we will finish this era and if everybody is still in the working mood will start the Late/High eras..... just to have your mouth wet the new patch will be including some of Dirty Peasants new Early Era units and they look wonderful.... get ready!!
