Rome minimizes when clicking on the UI

All the Rome 2 news got me wanting to play Rome again, so I just reinstalled it.

Installed Rome and Barbarian Invasion.

When I go into a battle, however, anytime I click on the UI elements at the bottom, the game minimizes to desktop. I can select the game from the task bar and it'll take me back in, and I can execute anything I need to ON the battlefield, but clicking any UI element besides the tutorial at the top left will cause the game to minimize again.

Any thoughts?

Are you playing the game in windowed mode? And are you using the UI at the top of the screen or the bottom?

Full screen, UI at the bottom.

Okay, not sure what the problem is then. If in doubt, re-install. This page has all you need to reinstall properly. Give it a shot and see if it solves your problem. If not, it's likely something to do with your computer's display settings.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot.

I would say it indeed has to do with display settings based on observation. Doesn't happen if I'm not in a widescreen resolution.
