Running RTW & RTW:Gold at the same machine?
Well. The title say it all pretty much. Is there possible to run two versions of rtw at the same computer. I know that the gold version from :eras will install despite my original rtw being installed. Question is as well, that even if they have two different folders in the harddisk, won't they share the same places in the register and so on. If so: This would cause porblems when one of them is uninstalled? Right?
The reason for these questions is that I would like to play chivalry but already have total realism installed and would really like to keep them both up and running.

Btw. Do you copy the entire installed game or just the data folder?
Exe-file- 1 for all and renaming the folders when needed or different exe-files for each mod?

i believe just copying the data folder should be fine, i dont think anything outside of it changes the game, but if you do copy more than just the data folder 'just in case' it should take up that much space, and you wont have to continually switch or rename folders.

Re: Running RTW & RTW:Gold at the same machine?
In any case, you need a fresh unmodded RTW 1.5 (alternative BI 1.6) for Chivalry. You can use this RTW directory though to play further RTW or BI vanilla, and also, you can install other mods that don't overwrite the vanilla RTW data, such as TFT for example. RTR plus Chivalry on the same RTW data doesn't work as long RTR has not his own mod folder with the -mod:my_mod function.
EDIT: Ups, just've reread the first post, he hasn't talked about RTR
