    Default Prompting more Invasions?

I'm having a blast mid-game playing Rohan on VH/VH and survived an Invasion called on Edoras. Tens of thousands of evildoers died trying to take the city in epic battles. It was scary at first and I nearly lost the first few sieges, but now I want to do it again

Do second invasions of the same city ever get called by Mordor? I mostly abandoned the city too to "entice" the AI to want to perhaps think it's vulnerable

In my Rohan campaign an invasion was called against Edoras five times in a row. Did someone say epic battles? Excellent stuff, especially when two or more armies are attacking at once.

Hmm, I wonder is there a command prompt to call an Invasion on myself? Mordor just called another Invasion, except it was on Minas Ithil (which Gondor only just captured and is defended by like 1 Gondor Militia, lame)

No, there's nothing you can do other than help the current invasion to end as soon as possible and holding as many possible invasion targets as you can.

Does anyone happen to know all of the possible Invasion targets? Edoras seems to be the AI's favorite, but I'm interested in where else they can be called/

They can be called on any settlement that belongs to a faction that is not Followers of Melkor (or is it Morogth? Whatever) or that is ex-communicated

However there is a list with priorities
Every settlement in descr_regions.txt found in data/world/maps/base that has the resource 'crusade' is a prio' target
    Ex;
    Code:
    Anorien_Province
     Anorien
     sicily
     Human_Rebels
     173 172 171
grasland, minas_tirith, crusade, coast, roads, big_city, towers, gondor_core
The order of the settlements in the file affects the order on which the targets are selected but that is also affected by which faction is calling etc

If you do not know what settlement is, as they may be coded with a different name than is showed ingame you can check that in imperial_campaign_regions_and_settlement_names.txt found in data/text
    Ex;
    Code:
    ...{Belfalas}Dol Amroth
    {Anorien_Province}Anorien
    {Anorien}Minas Tirith
    {Bree_Province}Bree-land
    ...

I always thought that it was funny that it is totally random however during a campaign there always seems to be a favorite that the AI picks out.

Sorry for the off-topic, however Sauron can ex-communicate the other evil factions? (I've never seen it happen is why I ask)

^ The same way the Pope excommunicates the Catholic Kings in vanilla, I think. If an evil faction attacks other evil factions too much, that probably will cause Sauron to end his protection of the evil aggressor (the same as excommunication in vanilla.). I haven't seen it either, probably because the AI rarely uses diplomats to break alliances and many evil factions are allied (thus they cannot attack each other).

Melkor and Morgoth are both right. Morgoth was called Melkor, before he broke with the Valar and waged war on them.

Yes he can, if they fall to much out of favour. Usually that happends when evil factions start war which they do not quit, then the agressor get ex-communicated eventually. (EDIT: ninjad by Steward' hehe)

Happend in my best campaign ever, as Eriador. Isengard and Mordor went to war resulting in Isengard getting ex-communicated and then a trumvirate of Eriador/Arnor, Gondor and Isengard fought Mordor step by step eastward. Had Gandalf as prime commander side by side with Saruman (the Istari doing what he should, even if using his Uruks as 'fight fire with fire') and mighty Denethor. Epic ^^

Ex-communicated factions are highly prioritated as targets for Invasions

I am on round 200 playing with Rohan and an invasion called on round 50 against Isengard is still on. They do not attack and I do not attack as I have other staff to deal with. I guess I have to attack them eventually.. anybody faced the same situation? And another thing. The one Ring was spotted in Moria. Two rounds later, i take Moria and the ring goes to minas morgul.

Maybe the crusading armies got stuck somewhere?
It's only after you have lost everything, that you are free to do anything.

Btw. when Tol Achans become available, you can call it on Edoras?! :S

Does invasions and Tol Achans share the same "crusade"-line descr_regions.txt?

No, Tol Acharns are jihads and so use the "jihad" markers instead of "crusade". Which Edoras doesn't have: that's a question for the DCI thread.

No army perhaps was strong enough to take it in the AI's "opinion"? Then the armies hang out till the Invasion expire, can't recall how long time that take however

Forever for sure. It's odd though, cause I may had a full stack in Isengard, but my units were nothing special. There were 4 armies out there, two from Rhun and two from Harad. Weird

They should at least besiege you.
