SaveGames Won't appear in Box RS2.5.6

My Friend and I ownloaded ROma Surrectum 2.5 He has Rome Total War Gold version from Steam, I got Rome and BI on disc. We both played multiplayer fine... sort of bugs were kind a prevalent. But He was dumb enough to delete his saves, so he asked me for a starter save. I sent him multiple but his load save box doesn't even show them.

He went to properties and unblock the files given they are from a foreign computer but they still dont show. He dropped them in the box with all the other saves.

We are playing the same campaign, 0 Turn for Rome, his launcher and mine are the same. RS.2.2B

I guess the first question would be... can you even share save games across computers? I dont see why not but I've done it on xbox and that is a completely different beast.

Any help would be nice, I post on behalf of my friend who is to damn lazy and ashamed to do this himself. If you see him on steam his name is Cyberboss give him a cyber slap for being damn lazy.

You can share save games with other people. The only thing thing that has to happen is that you need to have the same version of the exe (it should not matter if one is from steam and thr other one from a disk.

I would think that they are not putting them in the right place.

I would assume that the save may end up in the 'appdata' or virtual store area on their PC. I'd start to look for the path by running %appdata%.

The path coukld be something like c:\users\"useraccount"\AppData.

Remember that the save folder won't be there if they've yet to launch a campaign with that install. So, if they've manually created the folder it could be in the wrong place.

Well he started a dummy campaign to make sure is the right folder. He is dropping my save next to that one. His dummy appears on box but not mine.

WE got the same version given we play multi sometimes and the launcher says the same thing. We'll try a bit more tonight if not oh well.
