Layla Baratheon, now Tyrell, was attacked by a group of bandit on her way to Highgarden. Finding out before one died that there was a larger outfit, now Derick Baratheon is on his way to Highgarden with men to help hunt down the Bandits.

Ser Mace arrived with 100 knights of Highgarden (heavy cavalry) and 200 horsemen (light cavalry), all troops wearing green-yellow-checkered coat of arms, showing the union between Reach and Stormlands.
He greeted Derick Baratheon friendly, but his mood wasn't the best at this day.

OOC: Roll request for the troops of Lord Caswell joining the hunt after the bandits. Mace had passed Bitterbridge on his way and the help and knowledge of his troops in the North-eastern Reach region at the border between the Stormlands could be very useful for both great Houses.

"As far as I see we've enough men to take down this scum and search after them through the whole area", Mace said while overviewing the amount of soldiers, "Do we have any hints where the bandits hideout may be, Derick?"

    OOC: sure, no problem.

    Ser Mullendore nodded,

"Lady Lysa suffers with you, Ser. The Tyrells and Hightowers have close ties, and she prays to the Father that the men of the Stormlands and the Reach will bring these outlaws to justice."

He was a tall, young man, not older than 30, with a short goatee and a thin mustache of dark brownish hair. He carried a short, castle forged sword on his belt, and rode a grey, unimpressive stallion. He wore a white shield, adorned with the 10 black and orange butterflies of the sigil of his house. On his back, he carried a long, two-handed axe.

First my son, then my sister.....House Baratheon suffers greatly..

Mullendore, that's a mans axe on your back. Derick says, with his two handed hammer on his back,

"Hightower Axemen are famed through the realm," said Ser Normund, dismounting, and grabbing the grip of his axe, unlacing the rope that held it on his back, and placing it on his hands. The handle was made golden wood, probably from the Summer Islands, carved with lines of leaves and growing plants. The head, on the other hand, was of white gleaming steel, double edged and incredibly sharp, painted with gold inside thin lines that were drawn on it.

"I am their commander, and the best axe you'll find in the Reach," he said proudly, holding the axe with both hands for the stormlander to see, as he took a look at the hammer he wielded.

Derick looked over the Axe with wonder. That is a fine piece of weaponry, I can appreciate such. My hammer is strong, it is slightly weathered, not nearly as beautiful. I wield it just as well as any Baratheon. Derick said with honor. He admired Mullendores tenacity and his pride.

    Ser Normund smirked,

"I look forward to parrying with you some day, Ser. Your skills are well known, even in Uplands," he said, respectful.

Suddenly, the fact that he was speaking to a relative of lady Layla came to his mind, and the smile was gone from his face.

"I am sorry for your loss," he said directly to Derick, remembering the reason of his presence there. "Our axes are yours to search and find the scum that dared to harm Lady Layla."

Aye.....her death weighs on my mind always. It is not a simple thing losing family, and it seems the Baratheon house has seen its fair share of lose in the past few years. It is time to try and start anew. Gendry, Orysten! Come here. Derick Baratheon summoned his bastard nephews. They arrived on their horses and dismounted. Orysten whispered something in Gendry's ear and then, as they approached the group, Orysten smiled.

Yes mi lord. How can we be of service? Orysten said humbly while Gendry kept his head practically lowered to the ground.

These two young men are here to prove their worth. New times, new blood. You and I will spar after we are done with this rabble. Then if you would do us the honor of sparing with both of these boys and show them a thing or two. Derick said as happily as he could muster.

"I would be glad," he replied, looking at the boys, inspecting them. He then put his axe in a vertical position, with his hands holding the grip and resting its head on the ground. He addressed Derick.

"If you would allow us, Ser, I would like to begin this search. My men are good scouts, and if they were allowed to overlook the terrain, I am sure we would get a good idea of where to go from here."

Aye, I would be fine with that of course, but we are in Reach territory. My brother Mace shall have the command. I am here for the blood shed and to take command over if our search leads us to the Stormlands. Which I pray it does not. Derick said somberly. Since the Greyjoys left Harvest hall it had been difficult to reel in defenses at harvest hall, something that Vayne would be tasked with but did not know yet.
Vayne has grown as a man and warrior since my brother first took him in. He has earned his name Baratheon, perhaps even the inheritance too but Daevon still has that right.
