Shogun2 - Random battle freeze

Hello

The game randomly freeze during battles.
It seems it is happening to a lot of people, through what i read on the forum, but i couldn't find a solution.
I post my DxDiag in case it can help to help me.

I also read a few minutes ago that AVG anti-virus may be a cause of crash.

But it is not clear to me what has to be done, should i just disconnect it when i play or remove it completely from the computer ?
in the last case what anti-virus is OK to have ?

AVG and Steam/total War = uninstall.
I use Microsoft Security Essentials and Windows Firewall.

For a year, AVG was throwing false-positives on multiplayers using kingdoms.exe and everyone of them reporting use the disc version of the game. Hard telling what they are doing here.

To go with it,
be sure in Nvidia Control Panel, the game's profile is set to Maximum Performance.
www.realtek.com.tw for the latest High Definition Audio codecs as yours are over a year old and hard telling what CA has changed in the meantime.

I already use windows firewall.
Is Microsoft Security Essentials the anti-virus from windows ?

About the NVIDIA control panel, i'm not sure i found what you meant.
All i found about games is the compatibility with "3D stereoscopique", and Shogun 2 is set to "not recommended".
Is it what you are referring to ?

I did not found a general performance profile for games.

3D Settings > Manage 3D Settings > Program tab unless the memory is going bad.
Yes, 3D Stereoscopic will do no good.

OK, i found it.
But Shogun 2 is not in the game's list.
I see that it is possible to add it, but honestly i have no idea what i should do with all the parameters, i don't know how they must be set ?
