Default What is the time setting for the game?

First of all, I'd to like to say that the game is pretty good so far, and especially as a Legends of Zelda fan, I really like it.

I'm just wondering what the time setting/back story for this game/mod is. Flavor and lore really do help make a game for me and mean a lot.

From what I've gathered, this game is set in an all new alternative fourth timeline split from the end of OOC. But instead of a defeated link, a terminator-young link, or a non-existant non time-traveling victorious link, we get a link who attempts to go back to the past, but in doing so causes the fabric of space-time to shred and be rent apart.

This causes a lot of enemies that have no reason to be triggered (like zant for example) to emerge, and also causes the separate dimensions of termina and hyrule to crash together.

Also Majora is now a god on par with the goddesses, as opposed to a man-eating sad demon. Also the twili worship him.

    Is that correct?

Yep, pretty much. In terms of timeline, there's not that much from H:TW that equates to the actual Zelda games, but this means Neph isn't bound by previous plots, and can take inspiration from wherever he likes!

In short, there is no set Zelda timeline. I suppose with the emerging of the Twili and the existence of Lanayru, the closest possible would be around the time of Twilight Princess, but again, there's nothing solid.

Alrighty, just as a general question; is it WAD that certain hero units are not considered generals?

As I do not yet have 25 posts, I cannot edit my post, so I am forced to double post. I'm basically asking if it is intentional or simply a bug or not programmed yet, that certain characters do not count as generals but are instead elite units. Like Veran, or moblin king ganon.

Both are single units due to them being classified as Elephants by the game. If they were Generals they would spawn additional copies of themselves. And two Ganons are not a pleasant thing.

The five Great Deku Trees were pretty fun though

So, if I am to understand correctly, general units spawn copies of themselves, so therefore no special unit can be a general, lest we get copies?

Well I suppose this does have the benefit of not wanting to leave your special units in towns as governors as they can't govern in the first place. So you can actually use these cool characters.

Are there plans to add any voices back? I'd love to hear some speeches before a battle .

On a side note; I'm a fan of those fire emblem sprite avatars.

if you watch the beginning intro thingy, it says that all the timelines have crashed into one, bring foes that would have not normally been together into the same time era.
