    Default Realistic Portrayal of Constantinople?

It has been stated that settlements will incorporate the environment into their layout, and no two cities should be the same. But with Constantinople being one of the most important cities during this period (along with Jerusalem, Rome, and the like), do you think CA would give it "special" attention? All I'm saying is, Constantinople was/is a pretty unique city, especially considering its location. You should only be able to approach it from the west (on land, at least). Things like the walls of Constantine and Theodosius simply cannot be missing. I'm sure a mod will eventually make it accurate if CA doesn't, I just hope it doesn't look like any other in the game...

Yes I agree, as a city it would be nice to see it in all it's glory.

It would be great, but quite frankly, given CA's long-attested laziness when it comes to attention to detail, I don't think it will happen.

Well as far as i can tell from this pic.

It would be hard to place army anywhere but west of city also you may notice green arrows which i think represents land bridges. Tho i doubt Constantinople will be anything special on battle map.

Check out this site. I found about half a year ago for Byzantium Total War. It's a unique, accurate representation of Constantinople in the year 1200 (granted, it is more than a century after the beginning of the game). But it's still very interesting

Seeing as one of the earliest screens showed a freaking huge city ontop of a mountain and only one lonely exposed little causeway leading to the gate...

i think we can rest assured that CA are paying attention to cities.

especialy the most important one in their game.
