    Default CTD next turn

I'm new to Roma Surrectum, just tried the second campaing. I really got hooked to this campaing with Macedon when this thing happened. The last turn I conquered Sparta then I go next turn and it crashes in the turn of Dacia when one army of theirs goes into their north most city.

I would have liked to continue this campaing, any hope? Or maybe what should I do to not have this thing happen to me before?

I've read a bit here the forums, but I'm kind of a noob of this mod. I used to play Europa Barbarorum, even mod a bit the files to get some reforms in there, but this seems a bit diferent built than EB so I won't edit things of which I know nothing.

I added here my saves, don't know exactly if it will be of any use.

Other than that, I would like to congratulate the team for making such a beautiful mod! -that I don't know how to use properly-

End turn CTD's are caused by several things....some beyond anyone's control. RTW does have a nasty habit of 'hiccuping' once in a while and assigning a bad trait, or creating a 'ghost' character and army out of nowhere. Why this happens is a mystery, but the only way around it is to go back to a save before this happened...sometimes a bit further back than you'd like to go, and hope the game doesn't make the same mistake.

Another thing you can try is to prevent that army from going wherever it goes...attack it, lead it off somewhere...or in some way cause it to do something other than what it did before.

Lastly, failing to run the script after every restart of a campaign will invariably lead to an end turn CTD. It's awful easy to forget, and RTW just doesn't provide a good mechanism for ensuring that one doesn't forget. So the player MUST be vigilant, and make sure the script is running every time the game is restarted. Even going one turn without it running will majorly screw up a campaign....I have witnessed this myself, and it can be ugly.

    Thank you for the info!
I started a new campaing I'll try to be more careful to start the script everytime and hope for the best.

Wel, as DK901 has stated even being careful is no guarantee that you won't get a CTD in campaign.

Save often and retain them. You will be in a position to go back a number of years and continue with the campaign which should be better than discsrding a campaign. I will save most turns. I date my save games so they can be identified. For istance, Rome350S, Rome350W, Rome351S and Rome315W. I usually save after every battle as well - when that happens I will put a number at the end of each save especially if I will be fighting more than one battle.

Even this approach is no guarantee that a campaign ending CTD won't happen. It's very frusrating when it happens but the likelyhood of it happening can be reduced.
