Glad to hear of someone else who is writing their own setting! If I was you, do not aim too high to begin with. Flesh out two factions, and get a small unit list written for each one before getting it coded. As sad as it is to say, most folk will not help you out until you have shown some ability in modding by yourself.

I'll be keeping an eye on this and cheering you on, good luck!

Some people take a little longer to join your type of mod but if you show skill and determa nation they'll join. So in Essence "If you build it they will come."

I like the idea of making your own setting. I've been thinking about it myself as well, but don't have the time to work on several other mods all at the same time.
But I strongly recommend learning the basic stuff yourself. You don't have to be perfect at it, but that way you can deliver something substantial that can spark more interest in the community. Having basic knowledge about the M2TW engine concerning what can and what cannot be done is very important if you want to make your world fit into a M2TW mod.

I wish you all the best!

Learn modding...no one is going to do anything for you if you can't even be bothered to learn basic stuff. Looks like you put about 30 seconds of effort into your post and yet your asking people to make it for you.

I suggest you use the search function and try to find a mapping tutorial first. Gigantus made a few good ones. Also, please don't comment on yourself four times in a row...there's an edit button at the bottom of your posts.

Bullseye How bout you take yourself that remark and take your happy ass home. He can do as he pleases and he does not need you for one who I doubt knows much about leading a mod to patronize him. I suggest you stop posting on this thread. Thanks

Did him a favor? Am I wasting am time? Doing the things I like to do which is modding so what if it is a original idea. There are plenty of one man modding team look at Hyrule total war the developer did that all him self. And If its his hobby to mod then no there is time wasted better than sitting on a coach doing nothing with your life. You may as well give at least a few people who enjoy his mod some good gaming experience. You are wasting your time.

Guys your argument is pointless... as is making a mod without having any actual modding skills. Its not like there are plenty of (any?) modders bored with nothing to do only waiting for others to have some ideas to be working on for them. Everyone is working for themselves in the end because our work is free and we are chasing our own dreams. Still, this forum is also for ideas and proposals, and everyone has their own ideas. That people don't read the topic all should read before posting a mod development topic is another story. No skills, no mod, simple as that. If this guy can learn to mod he can do something, otherwise its just another idea that will remain an idea only.

Hey guys, do you know any tutorials where i can learn modding?
Yeah sure, there is a whole tutorial section. Asking such basic stuff I guess means you dont even try to do the research before you post your idea which shows not some good approach to all that work you are facing, which then reflects on how successful this whole idea might be, at least until you change your approach to more self-reliant.

Imagine a guy who wants to build a house himself and he doesnt know anything about that, and is asking others where can he learn how to do it and what tools to use. Doesnt sound too promising does it? I guess he could do it but youre aware how long will it take for such person to even gets things started? Not to mention what the results may be.

Be self-reliant and be resourceful yourself, show everyone that you can handle your mod and that could get you real help (because people are more willing to help when they believe in success and they believe in it when they have encouragement of their leader with his work and dedication), and if you cant then probably bothering with this whole idea is not really for you. I guess thats what Bullseye was trying to say. You can try, or waste your time as another would say, cause its your time and not mine so I dont really care what you do with it. Though bare in mind it will take years probably, unless youre some kind of a genius or you dont care about the quality of what you do and you do it in less than a year. Or I dunno maybe its some small project that doesnt take that long, but still, life will always get in the way and it will never go as fast as planned. If you ever pursued a long term goal that takes years to achieve and achieved it, then you know what it takes, if not then it will be much harder. Just reality.

Hope it helps, and good luck, youre gonna need it.
