CTD when gifting Settlements to AI

Hi everybody,
i am currently playing a Rohan campaign on TATW 3.2, MOS 1.41 with CRM.
I recently captured Tharbad and Amon Sul and wanted to gift both settlements to Eriador, but every time the game crashes. ( Right before the "happily accepted" message in the diplomacy screen)
I was able to gift Ost-in-Edhil to the High Elves some 20 turns ago, though.

Does anyone have an idea what's wrong? This is really killing the fun for me, as i like to play more or less lore-accurate and prefer most of the factions to own their "home lands". (and i want Eriador to emerge as Arnor.)
