I hope i can buy CD's since my internet ising horrible. Then add it to steam, so i don't have to manually download patches...

Steam version.
Steam hasn't sucked for years. Don't know why people still hate it.
Even if I had the choice between a non-steam version and one with steam integration, I'd still go for the Steam version every time. I've been using the service since 2004 (even without particularly fast internet) and I've never really had any issues with it in all those years. That doesn't mean it's perfect, and just because I've not had any trouble with it, doesn't mean nobody else does. But for me personally, the benefits are just too good to lose.
Empire total war is what actually got me to use steam back in 2009. I haaaated the thought of using steam beforehand. Now I feel like an idiot. Steam is the best thing that's happened to my gaming life. Can't go without it.
Besides unless I really, really support the company I never buy games at full price anymore thanks to Steam deals.
steam is an important promoter of the games for PC, from triple A title to indie games. PC games need it for the future otherwise totally dominated by console.
steam allows mod, offline, many options, backup, disable upgrades, disable ad, workshop and many other things.
Steam haters have very few serious topics. Haters.... hate.
No problem with steam. I agree with it.
I can see the reasons you wouldnt want a steam-only version, but, for me anyways, it out balances the benefits. I do respect how people here are saying their opinions without huge flame wars.
This is hard for me to take a side on. While I don't like some aspects of steam (especially the locked modability) I do like the auto-updates (patches) and the automatic inclusion of DLC once purchased.

Steam saved pc gaming. Only people who dont like it are drm heroes (nobody takes serously) and pirates pretending to be DRM heroes. 50 gazillion people happily use steam so your little rants are basically a small loud minority trying to push an agenda by force the majority (reality check) dont want. Even just looking at the rating here on a forum that 99% has rants about steam and dlc, its clear to see, people wub it.

Is there a point to this thread? CA has already made it clear that Rome2 will be on Steam.
Steam, easily. Easy to manage, Valve is awesome, more interaction with community, safer modding, easier game manager.
Why is this still open? This kind of threads are a waste of time. CA announced that they are going to continue their collaboration with Valve and keep using Steam no matter what a small part of their fan base wants.
