RTW 2 STEAM version
RTW 2 NON - STEAM version
I like to have a box version and I like not to depend on the internet so much apart from the DCLs.i like to have on box version for my collection
I'm gonna get it for Origin![]()
I wouldn't mind having a boxed collectors edition for the goodies, but I prefer Steam. I quit illegally downloading games, and it's nice to not have to bother keeping up with CDs.
If there was an option, i'd prefer non steam.
Many years ago (when very few games had steam) i was like you, i was "steam-diffident". The i tried it and changed my mind with time.
Now i'm very happy with Steam. Your battle is lost at the start, what you're asking will never happen.
Embrace steam, since not using it will hurt only you (alomost all the games use steam, and the ones who don't, use orign or uplay, and those really suck
)
PS:what "commenting" means?![]()

Steam contributes enormously to PC gaming. May it never change. And may it never change us,

Why all the bad sentiment about Steam?
For one, they already commented on their commitment to Steam.
And personally, although there are minor issues with Steam, it is a million times better than CD/DVD (apologies to those with slow internet connections, but get that fixed, not have us all live in 2000-2002). I just visited my parents at their place, and it was so nice having everything being done for you, that I found myself having some spare time. Downloaded steam and was playing ETW on my old PC that I left at my parents'. In 20 min. No CDs. With other games you also have your saved games synced-up, how cool is that? What on Earth could possibly someone have against it? Modding is not that more difficult with it either. You make a mistake, the game CTDs, just let Steam repair your local copy and try again.
2 big reasons why complaining about it makes very very very little sense.
I want the steam version since steam is a great place to meet up with online friends, join the sessions they play, meet up for multiplayer campaigns and find new maps, mods and easy patching so everyone is on the same level.
TotalWar without steam would be unimaginable for me. To the percentage that doesn't use steam yet, go and try it, you are missing out on a lot.
As long as they get rid of the online DRM
I would prefer to own a boxed version so I can collect, but Steam is so very convenient. Which is why I like how the boxed versions do it currently. I like how I can download at any time, but still have that nice, sexy box on my shelf.
CA should definitely move to Origin. Everyone knows EA are better.
