Latin voices to Roman faction

Hello. i did not wanted to open another Thread for a something i need to know. as of now i heve RTR Platinum and i was wondering how will i get the voice make over for the Roman faction(or prhaps more factions?) is there something like that to Platinum?.

Welcome to the forum Star_Wolf !
I think you don't have a legal CD then... Because when you copy a CD, you will need a crack in order to avoid that message...
OR you just didn't entered your CD in the CD-station...

With other words: Look if you have you CD in the station and else there must have been or an error in the install OR you have a copied version... (which sucks :/)

well ca wont help you mods arent covered in the service agreement however this may be a disk error and you may be able to somehow convincce them if your smart that the error is on their disk and you need a new one

Star Wolf, I had this problem too. Try installin RTRPE 1.4 to the desktop, then copy over the "data" file to Program Files/Creative Assembly/Rome Total War. Then delete everything else that is installed to your desktop. Just install 1.6 into Program Files/Creative Assembly/ Rome Total War. It worked fine for me after that.

I had this problem as well-- two solutions worked. Try the second if the first doesn't work.

1) Clean the CD.

2) Restart your computer.

The RTRPE mod.exe were originally use the Activision CD (the 3 cd version). Most recent copies are SEGA version (CD or DVD).

Here's what you need to do.

Step 1.
Prior to installing the mod, open the folder where you intend to install the mod, for example C:\Program Files\Creative Assembly\Rome-Total Realism (this assumes that you have multiple copies of RTW/BI installed for mods, vanilla or modding project etc.

Step 2.
Copy both RomeTW.exe and RomeTW-BI.exe and put it maybe on the desktop.

Step 3.
Install RTRPE v1.4 & RTRPE patch 1.6 into the intended folder. Make sure to change the target line by using the browse function. The default RTRPE installer target line is C:\Program Files\Activision\Rome-Total War. Delete the RTRPE icons that comes on the desktop with the installation.

Step 4.
Copy back the RomeTW.exe and RomeTW-BI.exe from where you save it earlier and put it back in the folder where you have installed the RTRPE mod by overwriting the old one.

Step 5.
While you're inside the folder, run the campaign_map_reset (just double left click it once).

Step 6.
Right click on either the RomeTW.exe or RomeTW-BI.exe inside the folder to desktop (depending on you wish to play using RTW 1.5 engine or BI 1.6 engine)

Step 7.
Start the game using the newly created short cut on the desktop (with the CD or DVD in the game)

Too many steps ? :tooth: Well, actually all these is unneeded if you care to read the Installing RTW and RTR Platinum step by step(lots of details) here at twcenter.net especially where it syas something like this:

NOTE#2: if you have Rome Total War Gold Edition on a single DVD you will probably get a message like "wrong CD" or something like that when you will start the game. That is becouse the "RomeTW.exe" file that comes with RTRPE is from a CD version of RTW and it is not compatible with your DVD version. What you have to do is copy the original "RomeTW.exe" from the folder where you have saved/backup your game and then overwrite the one from the folder where you have the game(RTW) + RTRPE. You can avoid this from the start by deleting the "RomeTW.exe" file from the RTRPE folder prior to the copying and pasting phase.

Do you mean the latin voice mod ? It's compatible with the Platinum I believe. You can look for it at the download section.

Yes that's what i meant but i found no such thing in the download center...if you could please give me a direct link it will be much helpful.
and no...it's not included in the platinum couse i got the platinum edition.
