Damn that it really cool looking unit. Im still not sure about the whole America thing...just not sure how its going to work an stuff but if theres cool units like that for the Aztecs ill not complain. Ive actually been really impressed by all the units ive seen so far...CA seem to be doing a very good job

I hope they are balanced properly. As dandy as they look, keep in mind that they are just unarmoured little indians wearing animal skins and fighting with clubs. I will be annoyed if CA gives them ridiculous stats when in reality European knights got like 50:1 kill ratios against them.

I dont think they should be that weak, i mean it's not like Cortez just crushed their army with a few men and that was it.
I wonder how effective those fierce looking swords really were?

Since units in TW games are represenative of far more many men in real life, and no sizable European force did see the new world for some time, I don't see why its so hard to see that any Mesoamerican tribe would be butchered by a European army. The level of technology was far greater, not to mention training and tactics, while the terrain isn't suited for European warfare, I still don't see why a few units of troops wouldn't be able to topple an entire Kingdom. Remember the Aztecs at least were an empire built on fear and intimidation and Cortez had his fair share of Mesoamerican allies as he did enemies.

Yes, he did have his allies. People make it seem like Cortez defeated thousands with just his few Europeans at his side, when in actuality they had thousands of their own native allies.

And another reason that they were innefective was fear, both of the men, who some thought of as gods, and of the horses. The heavy cavalry would still be plenty vulnerable to a massed group of indian spearmen. If a long campaign played out there, you had better believe that it would take more than a few units to topple a nation.
