    Default Stupid mistake

Yesterday I thought of cleaning my medieval 2 folder a bit, since the amount of extra files through modding was getting a little overwhelming, and I accidentally/intentionally deleted the .dll files, after that cleaned my litter box... And now I can't start medieval 2, kingdoms, nor any mod cause those files are missing. It says like "mss32.dll is missing". It seems these are essential files part of the game engine

I know reinstalling would be the easiest way, but then I'd lose all the mods in there so I'd rather just restore my medieval 2 folder. Is there any way (except for recovering deleted files through those various programs cause that doesn't work) to fix this, and not losing any mod folders?

I thought maby re-patching would work but I'm not sure...

Do you still have them in your tools\unpacker folder as in Vista, Win7/8?
If so, just copy them back to the main Medieval2 folder.

If you have any other games on that system then it's likely you have a copy of it on your system. Search your entire computer for the file [mss32.dll]. Then copy/paste it into the M2 folder. That hopefully will solve your problem. Good luck!

    Search the disc for them.
If steam, verify the game cache.
