Oooc you made it thanks.
Anthony rides alongside a band of 200 men. The are looking for any signs of willing activity.
Also ooc any lord of the north is welcome to join
Kilgore rides, sword and ax in hand the same as his father, quiet. Very rarely was Kilgore completely quiet but when blood shed was at hand, he knew it deserved respect. The scouting reports they recieved said there were only small bands raiding but you could never be sure. Lord Umber had some troops of Last Hearth to contribute but would wait until they were closer of made some sort of contact.
Anthony rides up to Kigore. He has Ice at his side and is wearing chain mail (+4)
"I'm giveing you comand of the cavalry. The wildlings are supposed to be near we need to look out. when we engage I want you to try circleing around and chargeing the rear."
ooc compostion
100 heavy infantry
75 archers
25 heavy cav
brought from the levies at Winterfell,
The air was cold, the wind made it close to numbing. Kilgore looked at the cavalry with pride, they were his men. Something else tinged at the back of his neck however.
If these are wildling raiders, even if 50 managed to make it this far south, they won't all be together. You know they would have split up. Well at least the snow will make it hard for them to feel us coming until its too late.
Kilgore took out his curved blade sword and raised it. His cavalry did the same in reflection. He looked back at his friend and Lord, I will not disappoint you. Have the scouts returned with a location?
OOC- should we now request mod presence?
oocYeah i'll ask Gandy on Steam
A ridr appears in the distance and feels a tightening in his gut. His first battle the true makeing of a man. He feels Ice heavy slung over his back as it was to large to carry on his hip. He looks at Greystark.
"They are on their way now." he says pointing in the distance trying to sound more confident then he felt.
Kilgore knew his friend. This will be the first time he would spill blood and he had to be nervous. Kilgore felt like he should have not let Anthony fight, since he was the Lord of Winterfell, but also understood what this upcoming skirmish would mean for him in the eyes of the other Northmen. Kilgore looked out to the scout ready to receive what news he bring. He smiled as he approached, Get the man some water, he said to another standing close to him, So what are we looking at?
The scout gasps. "Wildlings about *insert number mod rolls here* over that ridge." He says pointing at a small buff that overlookks a rather flat plains area.
Anthony considers his ooptions. "Archers on to the ridge" he orders. "Kilgore you take the cavalry and try and ccircle behind the wildlings. I'l set up at the base of the cliff so they can't surrond us. Infantry with me." His heart pounds nervously as he advances to the cliff face. Een though it was a cold they there was sweat on his brow. He tightens his grip on Ice and leads his men onward. There will be blood spilt today he thinks rather nervously.
Kilgore smiles inwardly, I hope we are ready he thinks. He looks over to his cavalry
From Ruin Rises Honor men.....but today!!!! Today we begin the Ruin!! Today, we ride with Honor!!! Kilgore chanted for moral as they rode down and around the ridge.
Stark's scouting roll: 11
Enemy scouting Roll: 16
The Wildling scout manages to spot the Northenders. He runs back into the main group which seems of about 250 to 550 men and they retreat back into a small forest
OoC: Damn I read it wrong. SORRY

The northereners group up outside the forest to discuss strategy
Kilgore rides up with his men, he looks at Anthony and bites swearing,
They've retreated into the forest and there is a hell of a lot more than we planned on. If we do this we will need to use the infantry and cavalry to round the wildlings together. After that, archers to hit them and then cavalry to run through them.
It was half baked but it was what I had

Howland joined his lord and Kilgore by stealthily sneaking into the camp, undetected by Northmen and wild longs alike.
"Sorry I'm late to the party, yer lerdsheeep."
OoC: Howland will die some way or another, okay?
No more extra men,
Just characters
Good to see you Howland. Kilgore said, still silently brooding over his recent injury
Anthony smile to see the to getting along.
"So how should we take this. They number between 250-550. Our Calvalry will be of little use in the dense woods. Our archers effectiveness will be limited. We will be reallying primeraly on our infantry, Shoild we chance it or should we wait for Umber with the reinforcements?"
Kilgore had to laugh, Easy old man, I have plenty to learn from you yet. You better stay alive until I've learned it all. Kilgore listened to the rundown.
Any ideas?
"I don't want to let those wildling bastards get away. But should we risk it?" He thinks of his brother so changed by his time amongst them. What if he became like that.
ooc I'm assumeing Wildling units are mostly light infantry?
