    Traits which increase the following......... cost
    1pt Command, loyalty, piety, chivalry/dred = 1 point
    3 or 5% bonus to trade, mining, farming etc = 1 point.

    And place a limit on command. Maybe 5pt limit to start.

    Otherwise you will get selmy/tarly-tier generals with littlefinger-esque admin ability and the dread of Khal Drogo.

    None of the selmy/tarly kinds of gerenals have even been asked for yet, just characters with lots of chivalry at most, and some piety. Highest command is the new Lord of the Eyrie, Albar Arryn (Jon's long lost brother or something at 6. Steffon is at 4, though he is somewhat lethal with infantry

    In fact most of the characters are actually weaker then that, I've buffed them up with a few random traits (like Ethan Wull is very handsome and a good fighter, Albar Arryn is a great administrator and a good infantry commander, Robin Rykker has really bad anger issues and gets laid a bit too much for his own good) just random stuff to make it a little more intresting.

    Stark and Bolton sounds good, you pretty much control all the north!

    I assume you added the resources to descr_start? If so, could you PM me the additions that you have made? I have meant to add grain and other resources to the reach for a while (to stop them getting curb stomped by Lannister)

    Dude I made so many additions its just really crazy, like right now King's Landing is actually bringing in 30000 gold, making it incredibly important (all cities are boosted, since Hightower has better traits then Joffrey I think oldtown makes more)

    I can PM the whole resource section if you want, I really can't remember where I put all the resources and coordinates... like thier in just random places, not all together with the other new recources.

    Sure, I know the map co-ords more of less off by heart so finding those in the Reach should be easy enough

    30000? Wow....

    Balancing this must have been... interesting!

    If Robert loses King's Landing, he has nothing. I upped Duskendale a bit as well, but it will not recompensate him. I tried to show just how important and powerful King's Landing was. Casterly Rock and Lannisport together bring the same kind of wealth. Oldtown more, most likely. Highgarden brings in around 7000 I think. All of the Reach has been a little more fertilized. Whiteharbor is like 8000, Gulltown is like 6000, and... Oh yeah for personal reasons Clegane's Keep has suddenly found some gold as well ( ).

    May I change from Darry to Renly? After playing as Renly in the 0.3 hotseat and getting annhilated, and later Renly in the playtest hotseat and also getting hammered, the Stormlands are like an old friend

    This time, though, I'm determined to get it right.

    I will warn you, Targaryen has been severly boosted.

    So will you, once you send me your character(s), the (s) being if you choose both Renly and Darry.

    Alright great! Also, taking Darry might not be the best as Renly is an obvious Baratheon loyalist and Darry are die-hard Targs. Conflict of interest you see.

    May something be done about Yronwoods limited recruiting and retraining capabilities. They only have meh AOR units which can't be recruited or rebuilt anywhere but Yronwood which will really limit expanding and helping allies.

    Sadly, that is controlled by export_descr_buildings (EDB) rather than descr_strat.


    Putting the below information in a spoiler because it is slightly off-topic to this hotseat.

    Personally, I am against universal recruitment for factions like Greyjoy and Martell/Yronwood. I think that 'Ironborn' units should only be available from the Iron Islanders, and when in the Reach, for example, they should only have access to weaker 'salt troops'.

    HOWEVER, I have been lobbied on this by a few people (Mith mostly - you know he loves his Ironbabies) and I have removed AOR restrictions for most units.

    Also, there are new unique AOR units for almost every region and a few for major settlements.

    We have:
    - Dornish Militia
    - Footmen of the Reach
    - Riverlands Footmen
    - Vale Pikemen
    - Stormland Hammers
    - Crownlanders
    - Gold Cloaks
    - Guards of the Red Keep
    - Archers of the Red Keep
    - Guards of Dragonstone
    - Guards of Oldtown

    ... and probably a few more than I have forgotten!

    Also, I have added:

    - Axemen
    - Vanguards
    - Men-at-Arms

    For all factions, meaning there are lots of units to recruit which are not 'Ironborn' or 'Dornish'

    As such, I am not sure what 'Dornish' or 'Ironborn' units will be AOR yet

    My only problem is that my army consists of slightly better spearmen but the only unit that can match just armoured swordsmen is the Yronwood knights who only available in one city. As of this moment there are no AOR units from major cities to bulk my armies. Once I march any further than SE (with the only stack I can get in 0.6) then they can't be retrained. I couldn't contribute much to the war effort once Renly is gone.

    It looks like Tyrell will be AI controlled (even though they bring in like 30000 gold per turn!) so you can defintely expand into the reach.

    By the way, I'll post an advertisement for this Hotseat in the replacement players thread, as Tyrell really should be player controlled, also being die-hard Targs!
