Being African myself, I had an idea; Africa Total War.
For the Total War Series, Africa has almost limitless potential. There are simply so many cultures, religions, landscapes, nations, empires, tribes, locations etc, it's really quite insane if you think about it. There are Empires such as Mali and Zimbabwe, tribes such as the Zulu, and Muslims sheiks in East Africa. All of these cultures have differing ways of war and culture.
My idea is for the base "Africa Total War" to take place in the 1450-1700. Why? Europe. The first couple of years will be to expand your Empire against other nations, then to fight or ally with the Europeans as they come. If you take cities, you could sell slaves to the Europeans, but one must watch out for them, as they can (and will) backstab you. This could create a real conflict; you want the Europeans arms and weapons, but you need to watch out at the same time. The introduction of Christianity would make a very interest dynamic as well.
My idea for an expansion is the "Scramble for Africa" and should take place from the 1850s to around 1918. This would be fascinating, and European powers are conquering everyone and everything, and you can choose to fight them or submit. You should also be able to play as European powers for a more modern war, and of course, being a Boer myself, the Boers should be playable. I choose the 1918 end date because World War One ended in that year. Creative Assembly could introduce more modern weapons such as machine guns, but due to the African setting, nothing too modern will be in use.
This is just an idea. I want to know what everyone thinks of this, and Creative Assembly, if you're reading this, please consider my idea![]()
