Default CTD Script execution error for <label_unit> *Potential fix?*

Playing England early era, Savage AI, Perm Arrows/watchtowers. Stock SS6.4 with few fixes added based on browsing forum.

On turn 29, I attacked a rebel settlement that had Flemish Pikemen, Mailed knights, crossbowmen, a leader of some sort, and I think maybe one other unit. Entering battle map, it would crash every time. It would never actually get to the battle map. Happened each time.

I withdrew and some of their units left the settlement and followed me. Rebel units were Flemish Pikemen, Mailed knights, crossbowmen. Once again, whether I attacked them or they attacked me, it would crash entering battle map.

    The log contained the following:

Browsing the forum, I came across this thread:

    http://www.twcenter.net/forums/showthread.php?t=476066

Based on that I checked the export_descr_unit.txt file for Flemish Pikemen, Malled knights, and Crossbowmen. Specifically, I checked ownership based on the above referenced thread.

For Flemish Pikemen, ownership was a simple one line as follows:

    ownership slave, france
    I left this line alone.

For Mailed knights, ownership consisted of three lines as follows:

ownership scotland, france, hre, spain, aragon, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states, slave
era 0 scotland, france, hre, spain, aragon, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states
era 1 scotland, france, hre, spain, aragon, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states
I changed the above to ...

ownership scotland, france, hre, spain, aragon, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states, slave
era 0 scotland, france, hre, spain, aragon, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states, slave
era 1 scotland, france, hre, spain, aragon, portugal, milan, venice, papal_states
Similarly, for Crossbowmen the ownership consisted of three lines:

ownership france, norway, denmark, hungary, slave
era 1 france, norway, denmark, hungary
era 2 france, norway, denmark, hungary
I once again changed the above to ...

ownership france, norway, denmark, hungary, slave
era 1 france, norway, denmark, hungary, slave
era 2 france, norway, denmark, hungary
After making the two changes noted, I was able to enter the battle map and complete battle without problem.

I didn't go back and try to narrow down whether it was the mailed knights or the crossbowmen that was causing the CTD. Or maybe both.

My question for someone more knowledgeable than I is, is this something that was overlooked/possible bug or just an anomaly that it resolved my CTD? And will leaving those two changes in the file possibly cause other issues? Debating whether to replace the original file now that I've finished the battle.

Hope this helps some others who might run into the same problem. As noted I haven't a clue how or why that fixed my issue and if the "fix" will cause additional problems down the road.

Just to add. Followed the "Guaranteed working install" instructions. UAC off during game and mod install. Full privileges granted to M2TW folder which is installed outside the program files (x86). Launcher running as admin.
