thoughts on installing

Hi.

I will get flamed but im going to say what i feel got to be said as i want people to be able to play it.
I play only mods of totalwar games, so i have had alot of experience installing mods, never had much of a problem. I have spent 13 hours trying to get this mod to install when i did it crashed on the battlemap i try again and get errors. Im pretty sure its down to how i installed the mod.

This forums is very confusing when it comes to topics on installing the mod and then need to add the language you require im at the point im where im so confused now i will not bother with the mod. I have huge respect for modders and i know this mod and the ammount of work gone into it is one of the best, as im a massive warhammer fan this mod has it all. The forums need to be tidied up to make them a bit more easy to navigate and a very detailed guide on how to install for diferent versions of MTW, like gold and steam.

Its the hardest TW mod i have installed and i been using mods since the first shogun. I downloaded the torrant and patch added the hot fix's and the language i needed used the steam launcher prog that squid made, I used all the tricks i know about bypassing the MTW launcher and running the game directly.

If this mod was more simple to install im sure a hell of alot more ppl will be playing it. I belong to a large gaming cummunity we play many games. at of the people who downloaded 7 have still not got it running and cant be arsed no more.

You may pull my thread apart and just call me stupid, i sure as hell feel stupid as i cant get it to run. what makes me sad is not me enjoying the game its the mod can have way more fans if it was made more user friendly.

I'm not calling you stupid, but I got this working without an hitch (using windows 7).
On the other hand I remember, way back when I wanted Stainless Steel and a bunch of submods, a lot more confusion.

One thing that should be done, though, is putting the sticky for Gigantus' version also on the main forum page (and maybe change its title: "easy and painfree installation" doesn't help if you're looking for Gigantus' version).
