did you run ss_setup.exe after install? if so skip to the next series of questions.

did you install with UAC turned off, did ss6.3 work properly w/o ss6.4.exe installed. Did you right click, run as adminstrator any and all .exe's (especiallly ss.6.3.exe, ss6.4.exe, and ss_setup.exe). (if you need help refer to my guide in my signature).

Same, except mine just exits out directly, with no error message displayed or anything. I was using a submod for Stainless Steel, which was Hegemony.

if it worked before the submod, then ask in the submod thread. As it most likely has to do with it.
