A royal secretary arrives, the architect being called to the King.
Angelos looks up from the table where he was studying a new compound he was making. Something that bonded stone together so tightly even a mangonel would have a hard time breaking them apart. He had heard something about a battle being fought, but his work had been intriguing and had progressed well that he had not left his chambers for the last five days. Stretching his stiff back he straightened up. "Pray, tell His Grace I shall be there shortly."
Elenya came to visit Angelos.
Angelos wipes his hands on a towel. He was in the middle of an experiment. "My Lady." He beams, taking the Queens hand and bowing over it. "So good to see you once more!"
She smiles towards him. "It is good to see you again. Much has changed since we last spoke."
"Indeed it has!" He beams. "You will make a most excellent mother, as I said when last we met there was naught to worry about."
"It appeared I was already caring him at that time." she said distracted, she never forgot the treachery of the grand maester. "How goes your work with the city? I have not been able to visit the workingside."
Angelos glows with pleasure. "Most well. Most well indeed! We have managed to level the top of Visenya's Hill. Master Hobbes is currently in the middle of digging the foundation pit. The work on the river goes more slowly. Master Culver is building a temporary port, so that we might divert the river for a time." He walks over to the table. "But I have been working on this." He indicates the table, laden with what looks like mud with a series of large stone tablets stacked on the stool next to it.
"Very intresting." she says. "Be sure to decorate it with the image of my son. He must be more loved by the people then his father."
"I shall." He walks to a shelf. Taking down a box before turning and walking back. "I have a gift for you, My Lady. I was saving it for when you were strong enough to call upon me once more."
As a girl brought up in modest meanings, her eyes where sparkeling when he called out he had a gift for her. "A gift! For me?" she said excited.
He smiled. "A small thing really. I had some extra time, and I enjoy sculpting so..." He opens the box to reveal a statuette, stunning in it's beauty. Carved from pale white marble it is of a mother tenderly holding her son. The has delicate features, and is unmistakably Elenya, her expression one of rapt joy as she gazes with love upon her child. The baby is Prince Vaelys, even down to having one eye of blue and one of purple his arms are reaching up for his mother's hair. The entire statue seems to encapsulate all of the special, unbreakable bond between mother and son. "It's name is Innocence." Angelos says. "I hope it brings you much joy."
Elenya stares to the statue. It was perfect. She felt with her finger the cold and soft marble. She had a lump in her throat. "It is really beautiful." she said. "I was so distracted by the idea of giving birth, that only when I saw him for the first time I realized that I had loved him and always would love him, no matter what."
No matter what, eh?
Lady Violet Tully and a escort of ten of her knights show up outside of Angelos's chambers, and the Master of Coin requests an meeting with the Architect responsible for the port being dismantled.
Three gay characters now?
shum
Angelos is standing at his table, hands deep into what, to an untrained eye, loks like a pile of mud. "Enter." He says.
Violet enters with four of her knights, and looks at the mud on the table. "So this is what his grace's master architect has been doing. Toying with mud and damaging the port, all to build a Sept?"
