Death by Seleucids!!??
My "Parthian Empire" was on the rise and had become 6 territories strong, having no problems overtaking the Armenians to the north and any rebels in the surrounding areas.
However... The Seleucids are becoming a serious problem and have already taken one of my territories in this EXTREME back and forth clash we are in!
Fighting these phalanxes and extremely long spears takes COMPLETELY DIFFERENT tactics than fighting against other factions...
It is NO WONDER the "Persian Empire" is always depicted as having a MASS OF ARCHERS! This is not out of a hollywood idea or an imaginative fantasy as one would think, but RATHER the REALITY of EXTREME NECESSITY!
A mass of ranged units is really the only way to overcome the wall of hundreds of 20-30ft. SPEARS that your men would otherwise not be able to penetrate!
They have widdled down my "Initial gift of 2 Immortal units" down to 24 of them left...
What an amazing revelation through actual life-like events...

Well, since you're using rome total war vanilla map, their is not enough settlements outside of Europe. The middle east could be expanded, same with africa and the steppes, but again this is your vision of a mod
I am gonna revamp the starting armies... I am feeling an impulse to do so...

Naturally...
A small glitch resided there...
You do still have the "Persian Cavalry" unit avaliable though in the Level 3/City tier.
I just finished a Hard/Hard Long Campaign as the Parthians and was able to reach 6 territories at my peak.
I def. need to rethink new strategies and give it another go soon... Very challenging!
ANYHOW...
I wouldnt call the "Pathians" in the middle of the desert a naturally "horse rich faction" so I am quite ok with the change...

The main reason I removed Horse Archers though is because the Unit Card, Unit Portrait and Unit Model did not match up!
As seen here...
I figured removing them was not the biggest deal in my attempt to "fix" what I saw wrong with the game...
The fewer the glitches, the more pleasant the experience...
Anyway as I stated its fine for me...
